Pastures not Breeding
-
My pastures have 11 unbred mares, and is telling me I may breed them, but when I try to do so, I'm told the mares have been bred, but the original invitation to breed still shows, and there are no foals. Am I missing something?
-
Is there a stallion in there? If so, make sure he doesn't already have 50 foals.Love,
Spry -
Do you only have one pasture? Are you sure the stud you are using hasn’t already used his 50 live covers per season? Are you sure all mares are over 4yo? If you have more than one pasture, you need to make sure the stud is in the right pasture with them. If your stud has used all 50 covers, just pick a different stud. If your mares are not 4 yet, well it will stay they are breedable for some reason but they just won’t breed.
-
@FallenShadows714 - 2 pastures, both studs are of age and have not taken 50 covers. I made sure of that before attempting to breed. The mares have a few 3yo, but the majority arebetween 4 and 15 years of age. I'm stumped.
-
@SmilodonRun Can you provide links to the mares that it won’t let you breed to? And the studs you are using? It will help us try to determine what is happening.
-
The 3 year olds wont breed because theyre not old enough.
-
Link to the pasture please :)

Well, I feel like a dummy. After all the worry over the mares, turns out it was the stallions who were too young. Just traded them out for older studs and everything worked fine.
My apologies and thanks to everyone who replied. Please close this thread?Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms -
(we only close a thread if there is getting nasty or out of control. Thanks for letting us know, though!)
