So this has happened twice now and I'm confused as to why it is happening.. I have rolled two different rank specials, Autumn's Arrival and Vault of stars and HAVEN'T shared them. I am positive that I never pressed the share button, but the next time I've logged on it has been used by someone. I know someone else said this had happened to them.. just confused.. I would have shared them eventually, but what's going on here? :-?

Someone is just changing the number in the website address to see what they get. Its been happening in spades lately. Some of us think it's rude for them to do that but Ammit has said it doesn't break any game rules to do it ( I think it's mostly cause there's nothing she can really do to stop it) so be prepared to see it happening a lot

Yes, it's a thing going on. Ammit is aware and says it's okay, as we can't stop it. People type in numbers daily behind links and that's how they get them. Lemme find that post.

They are typing in random numbers after the HH link and using them. If I were you I’d share it immediately so that no one can do that. Because to many of us, it’s kind of cheaty. There are no rules against it in the game, but I think as a whole we’ve agreed it’s not cool to do but people do it anyways. Lol

Personally if someone does it to one of mine I notate them as a blacklisted stable in my personal notes, I won't willingly sell or associate with them because I think it's poor sportsmanship but that's my personal prerogative to do so.

Edit: I didn't say this to start drama. Ammit has said its not against the rules so if a player wants to do that that is their prerogative just as it's mine to then not want to do any kind of business with them because I am personally against players doing that. I don't drag names through the mud or post anything they just go on my own personal list of do not deal with, thankfully that is a VERY short list because this is an amazing community and Ammit has done a wonderful job.

I know so many that are so helpful in this community. It makes me sad to see someone feels like they have to do this to their fellow players. I too would be hesitant to do any business with them should they do it to me. But that is my humble opinion, and I respect Ammit and her rules. I love this game and this community, and I'm sorry if I have over stepped my bounds in my statement. (My apology is meant for Ammit. I'm saying sorry to her if I overstepped my bounds. I guess I should have made that clear.)

The thing is, when this happens you know definitively who it is that’s worked around the system because it has their name right there at the bottom. Surely that’s all the proof needed to perhaps stop them from being able to create horses for a number of hours, or disable them from being able to buy or sell to other players for a certain time. Maybe a deterrent is needed rather than almost endorsing the behaviour just because it’s too difficult to police. Even if a public post isn’t acceptable, private messaging an admin with a screenshot would be enough to go on and try to address the behaviour that’s not in the spirit of community and sharing.

I agree with CeffylDwr. If this happens to me I'll be writing the name of the account as well as the account number so I can avoid contact with said player. I use my rank specials for special genes. I'd like to be able to share with someone who would like to do the same, or even new players who may be looking for something specific.

I didn't even know this was a thing - I think I was away when the first thread came out. It's such a shame when this community is such a great, generous and friendly one.

Part of the REASON this community is such a great, generous and friendly one is that the majority of the members work to keep it that way. Of course there are gonna be bad actors and folks who are 'out for a buck', but we can make it so they are not the ones who dominate the game! Part of that is communication....just like this thread. Letting others know what is going on (without being catty or nasty) and politely addressing the issue! Hooray US!

ConfluenceFarms, I dont think anyone is intentionally being catty or nasty about this. Me personally, it makes me sad because really all you need to do is put an ISO post and you'll usually get 2 or 3 members, even members younger than a year, that will come forward to help get you what you are looking for. Be it a create, or an already created one. This community is such a great thing and it sucks to see people do this instead of just asking. The willingness to help is what makes the community what it is!

I definitely agree that it feels like poor sportsmanship when someone takes your HH and then tries to sell it for 25+k.. the reason we have more special HHs now was to bring down the price and getting one, kind of shadily, then trying to profit 5Xs it's worth seems like a breach in player code to me somehow. I also do not want drama, but I had good intentions for the use of my HHs and am so glad to see that other players do as well. We can hopefully make this right again.

I feel like its kinda ridiculous to blacklist someone because theyre getting HH shares lol. Youre going to share it anyway.... why does it matter who gets it? Its not like theyre doing something malicious or hurting anything. Just getting some special HHs. If you don't want it to happen share it as soon as you get it.

This isnt something I would even have the time to do especially since I can just buy my rank specials if I really want them but if someone wants to take the time to do it *shrug*

Just seems like unnecessary when we are a community that sticks together and shares things etc. and the people doing this arent actually doing anything wrong/against the rules.

It does matter to some of us who like the guessing games that make light and fun, as well as trying to help someone who wants something specific without having to pay a ton.
It feels like stealing to some of us who had good intentions. And then had those intentions lost.
I'll stick by anyone, but special creates don't need to be going back up to 25-50-100k like some players try to do.

I have no idea how to get unshared herd helpers? How can that be?

How are people doing this? I seen to get mostly low herd helpers. Would this be the reason why a lot of people are keep getting the same stuff over and over? I have 3 account and there isn't much difference between the herd helpers.
I don't call this fair for people that just enjoy playing the game and getting the luck of the draws.
Hope I am making sense here. Sometimes my brain gets a head of me.lol

wendolyne there are players that are taking herd helper links and putting random numbers at the end to see what they get.

So this just happened to me by someone. I rolled my first RS and was super excited to share it with my friend who I joined with and I didnt get to since someone swiped it.

Shame on players who play like this.
