This is actually kinda interesting.... I (somehow) ended up with half 2G mares and half 3G mares in my pasture. Various weights. Most 3G mares were blue papered. So I put a low weight 2G and a high weight 3G in there. (Stallion)
As expected my BOP came from the 3G stud..... But also a 2G red mare...

I'm unable to breed until the 7th, but I'm hoping for a really good one! And hoping it's a filly, so I might can keep her for my 2g line! If it's a colt, there's a 90% chance I'll sell it. Unless it's too beautiful to sell. Knowing me, that'll happen. :))Love,

@BurntHillCreek what generations do you use? I can send you a few fillies that have passed SBA that I know I won't use for my own benefit. It may help pull your breeding in a positive direction.
You may also be seeing a pattern of this due to uneven breeding perhaps?ID# 24891

@rubyjofarm I bred both pastures evenly yellows to Cs and reds to Bs this season to see. I could understand if it was a few but lately it has been every season. Even if I leave them in for longer periods they seem to get snipped.

Not breeding a lot of intentional color but this fellow sure did come out mighty cute. What I DO love is that he's 17.0 hh! Great for my max-sized draft project.

@SpryOfJune the BOP from BurntHillCreek was fairly unevenly bred from a mixed lined sire and a foundation mare, so not that surprising was snipped
