Missing foal?
-
I bred a mare and stally and it said the foal was created but when I went to view it the foal wasn't there at all and isn't in my barn I tried relogging but it didn't work. What happened? What can I do to get it back?
-
If you bred two horses together that had Frame, or two that had any White (except w20 and W8), it has a 1 in 4 chance (averagely) to be a dead foal, because Homogynous Frame is deadly, and any Whites (except what I mentioned above), and including Sabino whites, together can also cause a dead foal.
If you put a link to the mare and the stallion, we can probably figure out what happened. -
Would it say dead foal? After I bred it said healthy foal. And let me go get the links
-
The message says they have 'produced a healthy filly/colt' above where the picture usually goes, but below that it will say 'the foal died before birth due to...... You can NOT breed this mare again this season'. That is the only place where it will tell you the foal died due to lethal white.
I don't know what it does/says if a pasture foal dies from a lethal cross.
I think I put it in the Typo Tracker thread.
ETA: Looks like Ammit cleaned up the Typo Tracker thread, so it's not there anymore. -
There is no message if you breed a lethal pasture foal. Just one (or more) less foal in the pasture. I always re-breed when I end up with less foals than mares because sometimes the boys get lazy and don't finish the job...lazy lazy stallions!Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms

I didn't breed in the pasture. It popped up a message saying it was a healthy foal but I checked and it wasn't there.

Looks like you bred two white horses together and got a lethal dominate white foal.
