So who all is excited for next season?
-
I have over 800 embryos all saved up that I'm gonna try to get implanted the first week. Gonna get a LOT of nice show ponies, and maybe even some breeding stock out of it. I also have a ton of wonderful stallions that will be hitting 3 years old, so they'll be available for straws.
What are your plans for next month?ID: 45055
Once I have entered horses into the auction, I do not remove them.Thanked by 1WhiteMountain -

This guy hits breeding age next month. I don't have a lot of girls for him yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing what he throws :) -
I am for sure! I have several blue and gold girls aging up from both my even and uneven herds as well as my first girl bred for traditional bootstrap. As for the boys I have a hom snowflake aging up and my first homebred star papered boy. I'll also be utilizing the embryos even more so than this season which was my first time doing more than 5 or 6. I've got mares that had 4 to 5 foals each this season and that list is going to grow next season.

I have mixed feelings...I didn't accomplish everything I wanted to yet this season let alone next season! I think next season will be another season of trying to do less breeding/harder culling and saving up for a bigger barn (I really need a 1000 stall barn!). I've got a lot of 2nd generation mares that will be breedable next season so I anticipate another hard look/cull of my gen 2 stock but I'm also really excited to finally be able to breed these girls as they have some new genes that I've been working with and I can't wait to refine those genes further.ID: 40723

So excited! I've had a lot of fun breeding all of my different RS foundations together, so I can't wait to continue with that. Even more exciting, I've been steadily collecting mares to breed to this amazing boy I was lucky to purchase.

Next season is all about starting up this boy’s line (if I don’t decide to wait and add anything else to him!)

Oooo! Ya'll are GOOD! This is walking that thin line between expressing enthusiasm for your boys, but noooot quite stepping over into advertising up and coming stallions for next season! >:)
And, Ragtatter? EIGHT hundred embryos! @-) -
@ClearwaterCanyon is that an American Horror Story reference i spy? :D

I'm just excited I've started throwing homs of my mushroom & watercolor babies. Soon I can most effectively cross them.45140Thanked by 1WhiteMountain

Just barely got this season all bred! haha. It should be interesting. Just started merging my regular line with my GP line, so it will be interesting to see what happens the next few months.

I’m still trying to finish breeding this season’s mares! I always tend to leave it too late to rotate them in the pastures so now I have 2 days to try and breed about 200 foundation and gen 2 mares with at least one day’s pasture bonus lol.
While breeding season is at a close, I need to do some serious culling. I’m actually looking forward to getting rid of some boys I haven’t used, and I’ll be a bit stricter with my mares; if I haven’t had a keeper foal from them within the last 3 seasons then they need to make room for the up and coming breeders. -
Me :)

He didn't paper star but he is so pretty I let him off :XThanked by 1WhiteMountain -
I barely got any breeding done this season at all. XD I got my Showstopper line done, and then just decided to delay all my other foals until next season.
If a foal is born at the beginning of the month, that increases the number of shows they can enter in their lifetime.ID: 45055

I am not as thrilled for next year. I didnt get to breed like I wanted to and my one boy that usually does well for me didnt do much this season. I haven't had the time to play this game this year as much. The way things are not sure if I will be around much. I love this game so debating a lot of things.

@mariachapinfarm yes in part! He will be the foundation of my Hoodoo Ponies, inspired by the AHS reference and other elements of Haitian VoodouThanked by 1MariaChapinFarm3

I kind of had an off year this year with some spots of brightness. My mares are my weakest spot at the moment in my higher gens. It will be another few years (game years) before I will start and see that turning around. Gen 4 is pretty good, Gen 5 is worse, gen 6 - Gen 8 hits a high of meh. So for now my fun is my bootstraps and my strive to grow my own high damage foal, as well as building show bonus.
-
I've kept too many babies the last 2 year's and now I need to cull. I somehow ended up with all breeding stock in one pasture, and no room for keepers... Debating a cycle just to make bank.45140

On this account I’ll contibue working with my bootstrapped warnbloods. I think it will be my 4th gen... also will be expanding my Norman’s with a nice Star stud Lallyhop sold me :)
My RH het GP fillies will be ready to cross back so hopefully will have my first round of GP foals!ID#43150
Current projects:
- Bootstrapped WB's and Spanish-Normals in true-to-life colors (S+, sa, and DP focused)
- Arabians in true-to-life colors (Sa1, GP, and w3 focused) -
I’m not as excited on this server as I am for my hj1 babies but I’m hoping over the next few seasons my personal finances will allow me to get a few more pastures to make things run a bit smoother here. Currently my foundation and 2nd Gen have 2-3 pasture of mares but my 3-7th Gen barely fill a 30 acre pasture. I’ve been trying to give some pasture bonus out to my mares but it’s not really showing anyways.
