Any points. Points is what gets you your show bonus every night. The only ones you need to watch out for are the ones that come in last all the time, as they are not getting any points and should be culled for better showers. If I have a horse that comes in last 3 times in a row, I send them off to auction or yumm, depending on the points they have accumulated. If they have a lot of points that they have gathered from their show life, and are no longer getting any, I put them into a "no show" section, so that I still can get money from their points, til they die of old age.

I keep mine showing their whole lives. Those leveled off/partial points aren't a lot but they can't hurt.

I keep mine for life. It's the only way to build up your show bonus!
