Showing Aptitude Test
  • How can I find out what was said about them? I have a mare that it said she would be a better producer than show horse. I can't remember which Haloween Dancer foal it was.
  • Unless you unchecked the automatic neutering button for this test, it could have been any horse. The usual reply is that Lucas says that it is hard to tell what they will be good for and to try them out and see. As far as I know, there isn't a way to recall the response for a horse, since once they have been tested, they don't show up on the list for the SAT again.

Of his three foals only one of them was a filly. The three dams all have pretty good PT scores for foundation horses, and two of them papered Red, which is fairly common for foundations. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

If this is something that you want to remember for future foals, or for horses you are creating, copy the reply from the test and put it into the horse's notes. You can do that on the horse's Control Panel tab. It's the first option on the right, "Edit Notes."
De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

  • Ok yeah I will do that. I am wanting to keep my better foals. So was trying to remember which foal it was. It is hard to decide what to do. I know I need a good show string. I am having a hard time telling who is improving and who is staying the same.
  • You can go through all of your Haloween Dancer foals, the ones who were "unfit for breeding" will have (showing prospect) next to the gender. That is if you unchecked the auto spay/geld box.

ETA: You need to click on each horse, and bring up their page to see the (showing prospect).
  • Ok I will check them. I think they all passed both MA and Geld.
  • Ok I will check them. I think they all passed both MA and Geld.
  • If there are any horses in your barns that you want to spay or geld, bring up their page. On the Control Panel tab of the horse/s, there is a geld/spay button you can click.
  • Ok I have a lot more stallions than mates right now. So got to think about what to do with my foals this year.
