I am going to pause the competition until the morning.

Its an idea, and a good backup plan. I'm just worried that that would be an unfair advantage as you would have a double chance of winning. Everyone is getting a participation prize as well.

(I've already decided that next time everyone can be on both teams, but structure the horse requirements so a new player can still be an owner)

Ok so just so I understand correctly we pick 5 horses, at least 1 foundation, one bought, a fantasy, and at least one altered and one intact?

It's no more than 1 each of the foundations, bought, and fantasy/closed genes. So you don't necessarily have to have those three in your picks, but you can't have more than one of each. Hope that helps.

Just to make it really clear - there should not be 2 horses in the 5 picked with fantasy/closed genes - so eg there shouldn't be one with wrong warp or chinchilla and then another with nexus, is that right?
The person I am representing has a lot of lovely fantasy genes so just making sure :)

Yes that’s correct. It does make it tricky finding suitable horses when some players mostly breed fantasy genes. I actually had trouble finding an altered horse bred by the player I represented that didn’t have a fantasy gene but got there in the end!

Question:
For a horse to be intact they need to be tested? Or would an untested horse be okay to be considered intact?
Just realized all the 16 horses I narrowed it down to are either altered or untested

Untested is fine. They can be for bootstrap, or whatever the owner wishes.

I've decided on how much I am going to give for the prizes. (Please note that these are per team, so for individual prizes divide by 2)

1st - 750,000$
2nd - 600,000$
3rd - 450,000$
4th - 300,000$

All others will receive 60,000$ as a participation prize.
