Private Sales

I would say I'm fairly new to the game yet, and am just starting to get into some of the forum private sales. I'm looking to sell two of my mares privately, but I only have a free account and can't make my own chat to do so. What would be the best way to go about doing this?ID # 8458

Frustration Sales is a public chat room that I believe was designed for just this purpose! Also, sometimes the person buying the horse from you will have their own chatroom, and will let you post the horses for sale there.Whoops, bad info. Sorry!Thanked by 1ConfluenceFarms -
Unfortunately, free accounts cannot list horses in chats, either public or private. You would need to set up a time that you and the buyer would be on at the same time, so that you could list the horse on the public sales board and the buyer could grab the horse. You can also purchase a basic upgrade for IVs (I believe it it 30 IVs for one calendar year), and then you would be able to list horses for sale in chats.

Oh shoot, I forgot about that. Thanks for the correction, Fallen!

to add to @FallenShadows714s comment you can also get a 3 month basic upgrade for $1.99 :)

Yep! The bonus pack for new members comes with some extra hbs for you, a 3 month basic upgrade, and a small pasture. I highly recommend purchasing it if you have the money. That three months will be enough to let you save up enough game money to buy a one year basic upgrade if you plan it well and save your money.
A good money making strategy when you're a small account is to make pointed show horses (all of your creates are pointed when your account is under 20k points total) and sell them off for 3000-5000 depending on how many points they come out with. It's a relatively small profit per-horse, but overall you'll make quite a lot of money. One member who started a new account to test it was able to save up for the year-long basic in little over a week.
Long term, of course, the best way to make money is to have show horses, so I'd say keep any that are over 500 points for yourself. :)
You can also improve the value to get the horses snatched up faster if you go to the herd helper section of the forum and use exceptional show and great show herd helpers.ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time. -
Thanks for the help! I've been putting off upgrading but decided it's time to just do it.ID # 8458
