What did you achieve this season?
  • The end of another breeding season is drawing to a close and it got me thinking about whether I met any goals this month.

Firstly I managed to get my daily show bonus over 5000hbs which may not sound like much, but after 5 months since joining this game it felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere with my show ponies!

I finished my first ever GMT project, which involved creating my perfect Hidden Gates boy- now hom DP!

I was lucky enough to purchase another Hidden Gates that I made into a hom pearl draft beauty

Can you tell they’re my favourite Rank Special? :x

Favourite keeper foal so far is probably this guy

On this day last month I bred my first ever snowflake foal

So with a couple more pastures still to breed I hope there might be another surprise in store for me before rollover tomorrow! Especially since I plan to use my Hidden Gates GMT boys for the first time. Just have to be certain there’s nothing more to add to them...

Anyway what are you all most proud of?
  • If I were you (and you have a bit of spare change lying around) I'd wait til next season to breed those boys to see if we luck out on any genes when the switch comes on the first! It's just a couple days away :D

As for me, I'm sure those of y'all that are on the forum as often as I am are sick of Speckles by now, but I just have to brag on him one more time this season! I'm so proud of him and all the stunning foals he's thrown for me and everyone else!

In addition, I'm also super proud of all the organizing I've done this year! I've been culling and shuffling and saving up for barns, and I finally am almost at a point where my primary barn can be used as an organization/temp holding barn only! My show bonus broke 22k just today, I've finally split my bootstraps into draft/rh so I can work on moving bone weights up and down more evenly instead of having lighter boned ladies in with my drafts just for their genes, and I made room for even more silver pocket watches! (Up to 18.98% of the game's supply, moving closer to my 20% goal by the day)

I've also gotten so many amazing foals this year I can't even begin to pick favorites. Snowflake, pearl, kp, and dp have run rampant in my barns this year thanks to Speckles, and I had several hom satins from my bootstraps! :x

For next year, I'm hoping to greatly increase the percentage of gold mares in my bootstrap pastures, and I'm positively bouncing for a few shiny colts to age up. I also have a gorgeous experf filly waiting in the wings for whatever genes may show up in the rotation!
ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!

God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.
  • I did consider how nice it would be to pop snowflake on one of my boys, but I’m strictly not allowed to spend real money on pixel horses! At least not while I have a very real buckskin filly that needs to go to a trainer haha.

Speckles is definitely worth bragging about. Congrats on the barn organisation too! Definitely need to work on that before next breeding season.
  • I’ve just finished sorting my foals from the last few seasons.

I’m excited and happy with the progress I’ve made with both my lines on HJ1 since my reorganization last December. I’ve added 3 new studs over the months and just GMT’d 5 KP mares to use next season.

Not so impressed with the much slower progress I’ve made on HJ2. I only have the one pasture and was busy over the summer and didn’t always rotate my foundation mares or breed my lined horses. I added a new i1 stud in December and used some foundation i8 straws in the spring. I am excited for next season as I was on my way to Message the player I’d gotten the straws from and clicked the wrong tab and the first post was asking if there’d be any interest in a i8 stud. I clicked on the post not expecting it to be anything that would actually fit into my program just to find the very stud I was about to ask for straws from! I’d already bred most of my foundation mares so next season will be my first with him.

  • I achieved some serious and much needed reorganization in my barns and lines. I sold all of my 15-60 stall barns back and bought 120 stall barns to help keep things more organized. I also went through and removed 90% of the warmblood/riding horses from my lines and will be moving forward with solely drafts. My lines have been simplified and structured now, with a much clearer plan.

I bred my 3rd gen stud from my foundation boy, Freaks Desire. He is just about perfect, just needs to receive a copy of two of Roan and be made consistent.

I also finished tweaking my second gen mushroom boy. He will be ready next season and I’m super excited for him.

And I finally added a mushroom foundation mare to the herd. I’m hoping she will give me some nice foals to forward my mushroom line.

  • How exciting Bandit that you were able to grab the exact stallion you were after!

Fallen your horses are gorgeous :x

I think I just got my favourite filly of the season, I love hom DP chocolates

  • Special mention goes to this little guy. I didn’t realise I owned a mare with tobiano, I purposely don’t breed for it as I like to see my horses markings. But I’m wondering whether to keep this one because his patterns are rather cool and you know, hom DP chocolate

  • Fallen, welcome to the draft side!
  • Yes I was super excited to snatch him up lol he sold in the spring but I saw the post the day after (which was weird because I was sure I’d looked through all the posts for that day). My dog thought I finally went crazy when I started freaking out as soon as I saw him posted.
  • I bred my first brindle!
    And he passed SBA!

Breeding for all version of black drafts. (Including black liver)
Help me build my black brindle army!
Always looking to buy foundation brindle drafts in black, blue roan, grullo, classic champagne, etc.

I work a 7day on 7day off schedule and my activity here will reflect that.
I can be very scatterbrained and forgetful so if I don't get back to you in a decent amount of time just poke me.
    Thanked by 1Lallyhop
