I might look like I am all washed up on the outside, but inside I still have the heart of a champion. All horses will be homozygous for Cream, Dun, Silver, and Champagne, but may be any base color. All horses will be exceptional producers.

I'm just curious - how often do rank specials come up as herd helpers? I didn't know it could happen until I saw this.

Not super often. But it happens every once in a while! I've never gotten one but I think a lot of the time the people who get them have rerolled a few times :)

Not rerolled "a few times," rerolled a lot of times. The last time I got one (on HJ1, I don't reroll my HH as often on this server) I think I had rerolled between 25-30 times and I know that there have been times that I have rerolled well over 30 times before getting an exceptional (rank 4 or 5 depending on which one) or rank special.

It is possible, though for a rank special to come up randomly without rerolling. I don't know for sure, but I would guess that the odds are similar to those for winning the 1 million jackpot in the creation lottery. %%-

I rerolled 200 times the other day trying to get a Perfect Foundation or Rank Special. No joy. This is the first time in nearly a year that I know I have seen a random Rank Special come up.

What do the horses end up looking like?

Well, they are homozygous for cream, so they are either cremello's, perlino's or Smokey creams, with "extra" stuff, like the Dun, Champagne, and Silver. They are what got me interested in breeding Homozygous Cream Champagnes, because the double cream hides champagne.

Here is a link to Sandy Creek Farm's horse she got. (He was the only one that was uncolored with a Tack Pack, lol, so I hope you don't mind SCF.) He also got the Gray gene, so he's a little more whiter looking from it, but more or less what they look like. Cream and Gray can hide other genes, when they are homozygous.

All Washed up is one of my favorite Special Ranks, bummed I missed it. Ah well, hopefully next time. :)
