Happy Birthday!! Hope you have a wonderful day!
I turned 27 this year, and I can’t say life has gone exactly how I planned it to go. I got married two years ago to probably one of the worst people I could have gotten married to, and am currently undergoing the beginnings of filing for divorce. So my goal for the year is to at least (hopefully) get all the paperwork sorted and filed properly with the courthouse and get the proceedings for that underway. I also am looking into going back to school and getting a Vet Assistant certificate, which will allow me to at least get my foot in the door with a veterinary clinic or hospital around where I live. I’ve always felt closer to animals than people, and hate to see them suffering. My dream is to open my own veterinary clinic, but that’s a bit further down the road. I also would love to own a horse again. I owned an off track Thoroughbred Mare for about 3 years before we lost her to colic. That was probably my hardest loss, I spent my entire spring break in the barn with her trying to nurse her back to health. Unfortunately there was nothing they could do and we reached the point where she was just in too much pain for it to be humane to “wait and see”. I haven’t ridden since, I just wasn’t sure I could handle getting that close to another horse for awhile.
Edit to add: if this is still open, my ID is 42413. I am currently saving for a breeding boost for one of my second gen boys. -
39331 I have been saving for a gmt project or a new barn, I just haven’t decided exactly which I want/need more lolol probably a barn is needed more lol
I hope you have had a wonderful birthday today!!Watercolor, Chinchilla, Axiom, Nexus, Wrong Warp, Nacre, Ice 5/8, Satin and Pearl -
I’m glad everyone feels comfortable sharing their stories. We’re such a diverse bunch on here! I should try not to complain so much. It’s easy to feel sorry for yourself when you aren’t where you thought you would be but some people actually have it tough and they still find ways to be positive.
My ID is 46540. Atm I’m saving for a few little GMT projects as well as the need to expand my barn space. Like Lally said, 30/60 barns just aren’t big enough! I try not to spend real money on games but I bought myself 2 little 10 mare pastures during the sale. Wish I could buy a premium upgrade with game money :(Thanked by 1DinaChill -
Happy birthday :)
Many of my friends didn't start having kids until well into 30s and quite a few in their 40s. I unfortunately can't have kids but I have learnt that's ok too.
At 50 I have a good job which I love, a fantastic husband of 26 years and have had the pleasure of looking after many furry friends - cats, dogs and horses have kept my life full.
My goal this year is to take up running. Last year I walked 28 miles for charity and got a fantastic buzz from it (despite being on the large size!) and next Summer I would love to run a half marathon. I haven't done any running since I was kid so this is going to be a big challenge.
Good luck everyone in their hopes/dreams/goals and I wish everyone health and happiness.Thanked by 1GeneverGinger -
Happy birthday :D
I'm currently trying to get over a 30 on the ACT so that I can have my pick of colleges to go to(I've got a little while until I need to worry about that, though.) Other than school related goals, I'm hoping to sell my current horse and buy a large junior hunter at some point this year or at the beginning of 2019. Also, I'm on my barn's IEA team, so my goal with that is to qualify for nationals this year!
My ID is 26956! I'm saving up to work on a little GMT project and further my satin, KP, sooty+, and snowflake lines right now.Always looking for Hidden Gates horses, sooty+ livers, snowflakes, Freaky Fridays, or satins! -
Happy birthday!
Right now I’m only 18, but starting to apply for colleges! Super scary! And finally starting to get things together with my new(ish) mare! And her quarter crack is (almost) grown out so we might be able to start jumping again.
As far as your age goes for a family, don’t worry about it. My dad was 50 when he had me.... my grandmas dad was in his 60s when he had her. My mom is of the opinion that you have more maturity to deal with the “oopses” and overall have more respect for the kids.
I won 1200$ in Scholarships yesterday! (200$ of that was an IEA scholarship)
If I (ever) get my computer back I’ll try to get on here and share my pride and joy, Lexi my paint horse mare. (More TB blood than quarter blood although she is big bodied and could pass for a WB)
15552.
The main thing I need is the last hundred or so IVs I need for a 1,000 stall barn. Also some foundation eggs of note to start using with the hoard of straws I have saved up. My one KP mare aged out last season and my other KP mare is at risk next rollover. So I don’t have enough eggs to make embryos.Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses. -
I will try and get gifts out this weekend. But this had me thinking. I would love to have a birthday list. You don't have to put down your age. But I would really enjoy giving gifts on birthdays. Not sure how to go about this though. May be a big undertaking

That would be an awesome idea! Wonder if there is a way to make it like a pinned but closed post? So only the person heading up the project can make edits to it....hmmmThanked by 1levesel2

Maybe do a monthly birthday post for people with birthdays in that month to exchange gifts?ID# 43830

Too kind! 28320 is my ID. I’ll take a surprise straw that seems appropriate! Right now I’m working on reorganizing my barns, I think I’m going to need a new space to put the show ponies!

I haven't forgotten anyone. Will get out this weekend.

I turned 19 on the 15th of September. I can't believe I'm nearly 20. Doesn't seem like it can be real, but here I am. My family and I discovered we were citizens by blood of Germany in January (we have all lived in America all of our lives and as far as we knew, were going to spend the rest of our lives there too. We moved to England in April, and we're currently at the end of our six month passport stay, so we have to go to Ireland to apply for visas in two weeks. My life is great, but every day is so unexpected, and we have no idea what's around the corner. I am certainly getting to live a wonderful adventure, but it kind of keeps me from having long-term goals. So my plan is this - enjoy every day for what it brings, and live this adventure to the fullest! Life is so much more wonderful when you appreciate the small things.
My game goals at the moment are to first finish my GMT projects, only a few GMTs left to go. Then I need to start working on comparison testing all my stallions to take my herd quality to the next level, and I have a ton of stallions so it's going to take a while.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday :)ID: 16853 -
I missed this post back when it was actually timely... but I hope you had a wonderful birthday.
I wanted to share with you that my 30s were some of the best times of my life, and I hope the same comes true for you. And yes, you still have plenty of time for a family. I had my kiddo at 40 -- yeah, people talk about "advanced maternal age" and whatnot, but it's a really common thing now. You still have a lot of things ahead of you!
My life goals at the moment mostly center around this kiddo and helping him be successful in the world. Once he's in school full time, though, for myself I'd love to go back to working in a library. I really enjoyed that.
Best wishes for a fantastic year! -
I sent some more gifts. If missed you please let me know and I will send some goodies out:)
