  • This was a very pleasant surprise. Her daddy must of given all he had to contribute to my first Blue filly on this account.

I love the combination of AtA+ I think I will be working that into a line as much as I can.

  • Someone who knows more than me might know better - but doesn't this mean that the mare is probably a high red?
  • She’s an expro, which (someone correct me if I’m wrong) I believe means she has a 105% breeding ability, same as an experf but without the additional high showing PT. The B/red spectrum I believe ranges from 101% to 109%, as a 5% boost to an experf will push it to a 110%, which becomes an A/blue.

So the mare would be mid range red, and the filly would likely be a pretty low blue, just at or above that 110% mark.

God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.

  • So if I have 2 expros, red/B, and they produced a blue filly, it's likely the same situation as this one where she's a low blue?
  • Probably so, yep! But getting a blue at all at second gen is a good mark to be at, because it still means you’ve had a pretty decent jump in breeding ability. Just breed to other second gen A/blues for your best chance of an intact foal.

  • Well done, getting a blue papered foal from a C and Red paper breeding doesn't happen that often!
