So since ammit announced that she is working on making closed genes more readily available, I have been seriously thinking.. And I've decided.

I wanna add a couple homozygous closed genes to a horse of mine. But.. How many homo copies can you add to a single horse?

I would imagine as many as are available as long as they don’t share an allele like Axiom RBG and Wrong Warp, the Rainbow Riot Genes, or the Ices.... but then, how will they all look on top of each other?

One would look cool (if possible) hom of every gene. I'd say excluding watercolor, plaid, wrong warp, etc. As they affect the overall color, but hom chinchilla, hom mushroom, hom macchiato, hom every ice, oh yeah! $-) ;;)

I think @Levesel is correct so I think you could do hom macciato, hom chinchilla, hom mushroom, but then for the others you would have to choose two out of these groupings axiom blue/red/green/wrong warp/nexus, watercolor/plaid/nacre/thunderstruck, and then two of the available ice genes. Since those groups sit on the same gene base and there are only two bases you could only choose two.

Grand total: you could pick two ices, pick two from watercolor/thunderstruck/plaid/nacre, pick two from axiom red/blue/green/wrong warp, and have hom mushroom, hom chinchilla, and hom macchiato.

That would be a maximum of 10 closed genes at once out of the 17 that currently exist, assuming they all went on sale at once (as Ammit doesn’t usually allow you to put genes from one sale on a horse that has genes from a previous sale). Not a bad number! Of course, the ices, rainbow, and axiom/warps would be het for one of each instead of hom for both, but I believe all of those show when het so you’d still be able to see them all. :D
