Do you have any intact foundie mares with abysmal PT scores that were created with more than 200 points? Mares that will do no good in the show ring, but aren’t cutting it for you genetically, so you’re just hanging onto them for the points they were gifted and never earned?

Will pay 5k for every intact foundation mare under the age of 8 with more than 200 points (no matter how bad the PT)

7k for every mare of the sort if she has over 300 points

10k for over 400

I like my surrogates to be useful, even if they’re just sitting around not being shown! It’s a shame to not snip a mare who could do better in the show ring, but if they’re useless for that too they’ll make a great surrogate!

Looking for about 10 or so for now.

I have this girl.. She throws beautiful babies, but has a whopping 0hb show bonus and 2.2 pt score. :)

@MariaChapinFarm3 Gorgeous, but I’m looking for ones that do have a nightly bonus, just aren’t adding to it. She seems like she’s making you nice babies anyways, so don’t worry about it. I’m looking for surrogates, so they themselves won’t be contributing to my genetic pool.

@nycequestrian She’s too good, lol! I’m looking for probably at least below 8 in PT, as otherwise I snip them and add to my show herd so they can make maximum points.

I have this girl. She has 272 points and has leveled off at the tender age of 4, with a showing score of 4. She isn't a color that I want, so she will be rehomed. She looks like she has "child bearin' hips"!

@DivineDreams Having most of them as surrogates helps me feel like they’re a lot more actually worth keeping, cause they’re being useful (plus it saves me finding one for brood and spending money on that). This year especially I’m needing more because I have a lot of embryos to make with all the eggs I’ve grabbed for Speckles, lol.

@WhiteMountain She’ll have a permanent spot in my barns! Do you have a chat or do we want to use mine?

@cadieness Points are part of the reason I want them, as I like my surrogates to be useful even if they’re no good for showing. You should totally see if you can pair her with a straw from Wreck It Ralph, though!

Thanks, but the foundation rescue rarely has horses that break the 200 point mark by more than a handful of points, and they also all have a PT of 9.9 or better. Wonderful general show horses, but I’m specifically looking for low PT/high points combo as I feel better keeping them intact. The higher the PT, the sooner they get snipped in my barns, because the more training bonus they’ll get. :)

(And I’m full up on show ponies right now until I get another barn, lol. I only have room for a few more surrogates because I planned for them this year with all the embryos I’m making.)

I want my surrogates to have points because otherwise they’re being too useless, just standing around taking up space without any nightly bonus to show for it. All my barns are on auto show, so the scattered surrogates need to be bringing in more per week than they cost to show for them to be considered useful.
