Hello!
-
Hiya! I'm ravenhill, you can call me raven or B! I'm a freshmen in college starting Tuesday, doing mostly general education at the moment but planning on focusing on psychology and social work. I hope one day I can be a counselor.
Outside of my professional hopes and dreams, I also love art and writing. I went to a performing arts magnet highschool, focused mostly on writing but did a lot of costume and some traditional art. I mostly write poetry now, but I also have a book I've been working on. Besides those interests, I'm trying to teach myself keyboard piano and music theory.
I love animals, and am a vegetarian. I have two cats and a dog, previously shared a house with four rats, other dogs, other cats, hamsters, turtles, a bird and a bunch of fish! On occasion, I volunteer at a horse rescue not too far from me. I haven't been able to lately due to transportation and health issues, but now that I have a car, I'm hoping that can change!
I don't ride. I used to ride western as a child, and rode bareback with an English "focus" for a few months during my senior year of highschool. As a child, I rode mostly Arabians and Quarter Horses. During my senior year, I rode a Belgian cross gelding. The most I did when I was younger on my own was trot around, as an adult, I only walked him. I hope to one day return to taking lessons and should I ever have my own horses, I hope to learn and compete in dressage.
As for game interests, I've been looking for a game where I can progress and climb ranks while also getting to know a friendly community. I'm hoping I've found it here. I've played horse sim games for as long as I can remember, and even as an adult now, I find them fun and relaxing.
My goals on here are to breed horses of good show quality and paper ranking, and hopefully uncommon or rare colors at some point.
I'm not quite sure what else to say - if you ever want to say hi or need someone to vent to, feel free!
Thanks for reading. <3 -
If you want a friendly community you have DEFINITELY found it! :D
Welcome Ravenhill! Feel free to wander over to the Beginners Barn chat room and say hi, as well. We can help out with any questions you might have!

Welcome to Hunt and Jump, Ravenhill. This game has a great community. I hope you'll soon be feeling right at home.
I'm something of a poet, myself, and have also been learning to paint in recent years. I love watercolors, charcoal and pastels, but also occasionally dabble in acrylics or try out an oil painting workshop. This last year, I've been alternating between landscapes and birds. :DDe gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

What kind of bird? I’m used to a full house myself but the birds usually outnumber all the other animals, lol.
And cool on the psych! My best friend was going for general psych til she switched to early childhood education (basically child psych and teaching), but in the meantime she got me hooked on MBTI. We both love it and frequently type fictional characters (including our own) when we’re bored :))ISO any and all Silver Pocket Watches!
God grant me the hbs to buy the ponies I need,
The fortitude to resist the shiny ones I truly don't,
And the wisdom to know there will always be more next time.
