Oh, I hope you feel better soon. Not fun getting your wisdom teeth out! How many did they have to pull?
Your horse is beautiful! Thank you for this opportunity!
Oops, edit. ID#130 -
You're welcome! They pulled all four, and the worst part is, I wasn't even loopy afterward! I was going to film myself and everything...but at least the pain meds gave me a whole day of naps, and now I barely feel it at all. :) The operation was yesterday morning. :P

I HATE going to the dentist, and I have 2 fillings that fell out and I don wanna GO! 1998
-
Oh, man, that's not great! Have you tried procrastinating until the fillings fill in? :P Sorry, that's what I usually try to do.
-
Wisdom teeth are a pain. I just hope you don't feel the pain later. Your horse is beautiful.

Thanks, Kashi! And thanks for reminding me! Don't forget your ID's, everyone! Two more to go. :)

So awesome of you!
I had three wisdom teeth but I had a bad reaction to the meds that attempted to knock me out and I essentially fought them off and panicked. The bad part is they thought I was in pain, but I actually wasn't ( I remember it clearly) but since I was freaking out they stopped before taking out the third one. So I have to go back someday to do it :( I was so embarrassed to go back in after that lol. -

Thank you so much and take it easy! I had all four out, but it was years ago when I was I was in high school. Thee drugs made me so loopy my mother discovered a lot of new information about me, including the fact that I knew a lot of four letter words (and that was the best thing I told her).
-
Wow. I remember that. I am a veterinary technician and I swore I would never chuckle at how the animals wake up again. I was like a fish flopping all over. And to make things better my mom kept saying o my poor baby because my cheeks were so swollen.
-
Think I made it in time? If not its still good:-) my number is 8013
-
Wow, Dark Mist, I sorry to hear that. :( They let me wake up towards the end of the operation for some reason, but I thought that was fun. :P
Yeah, Ripshin, I was a little nervous I'd let stuff fly out, but as it happens, I wasn't loopy at all, just tired. :/ I was looking forward to having a fun video, too. :P
And Hidden, at the beginning, I happened to notice that they gently strapped my arms down, juuuust in case. :P
Awesome, the giveaway is closed! Thanks for sharing your stories! See you next time! XP -
That reminds me, I need to book the appointment to get mine out. Not looking forward to that at all! :((
3 of mine are erupting normally with no problems, but my lower left is completely sideways of course..
(not my photo, but it's fitting)
-
Naturally! Mine were all tilted a bit and who needs extra teeth, anyway?
-
Ouch! Just reading this thread makes my teeth hurt, lol. Glad you didn't suffer too much RoseFlute.
Now I just have to say, I've actually been lucky, and I never got my wisdom teeth at all. Had a x-ray when I was a teenager and they told me I would never get them. But like Confluence Farms, I hate going to the Dentist, mostly because they always seem to need to poke me with needles in my mouth! I HATE needles! -
I kind of lucked out, I only had 1 erupt and it was normal. And since I didn't have one below it to stop it. It just kept erupting, by the time the dentist took it out, it was almost out by itself. It took about two seconds. I have never got any more.
-
Paints, you could be lynched for that post! :P
2 of my wisdom teeth got cracked when I was in my 20's and got kicked in the head by a horse. They kept breaking off chunks of tooth for years and finally the dentist had to dig out the remaining parts. This dentist was NUTSO and he was not that great of a dentist. The office was a mess, and I watched him (once it was too late) scratch his head with the gloves on, then reach into the patients mouth 0 different patiente, not me, but you KNOW he would do the same regardless! I switched dentists immediately afterwards!
The story: A younger, foolisher me was clipping a young mare and the owner had put a metal twitch on her to get her to stand still. I accidently touched the twitch with the clippers and aparently the vibration freaked the filly out. She reared up and struck out. I had a hoof print bruise on my cheek, and 2 black eyes...ever so purty! Still have a scar over my right eyebrow. -
Lol.... Right? I did luck out with the teeth.
Not so much with being kicked by horses though. They always got my knees, I have problems with the cartilage in my left one since I can remember. Been kicked in it 4 times, and then when I first started barrel racing, the barrels were steel drums with no pads on top. My horse's height and mine worked out that when I hit a barrel, it was right under the kneecap. Another addition to that left knee being a bad knee.
