how long does it take for foals to be born?? :)

If you're doing regular breeding--not long at all. You should see the foal immediately after you click the button to breed a stallion to a mare. However, if you have mares and stallions in a pasture, foals will appear whenever the server runs the program (sometime around the middle of the month) or just after you click on the button that will breed all your pastured horses in one go. It may take a little while, but certainly less than a minute for the foals to appear.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

If you click the breed button and the page reloads without producing a foal, the name you gave the foal may already be in use. Try again with a different foal name. Sometimes there is a message saying that, but not always.I was jllewis on the old forum.

i have to wait for ages but, you guys say that it shouldn't take that long but it takes mine like a month!!

That means you aren't breeding you are just waiting for the game to do it for you. You can breed your self. You never have to wait for foals.

how do you do that then??\

You have only one mare that is old enough for breeding, Sugar and Spice, and you have already bred her. The reason you weren't getting foals from the others is because they are only 3. Although stallions can be bred at 3, mares must be 4 before you can breed them.
Your stallion, salt and pepper, got marked "showing prospect" and no matter how pretty his markings are (and he is a gorgeous white 2), you should geld him immediately because he will only give you inferior foals.
Saffron made it through SAT, but should also go through Gelding Advice to see if he is worth breeding. Lucas checks to see if a horse has a showing score that is much higher than its breeding score. If that is the case, he gives it the "Showing Prospect" grade and neuters it. If not, he will give his "try the horse and see how it does" answer. It is not advisable to uncheck the neutering box for this test. In Gelding Advice, a colt sees Charlie, who compares its breeding scores with its sire's. He will geld any colt whose score is considerably worse than the sire's. He will pass colts who are a bit worse than their sire right through those who are definitely better than their sire.
If you do not use these two tests (and mare advice as well) you will probably be unable to ever sell any foals to fellow players, since almost all of us are trying to improve the quality of our horses generation by generation, no matter how difficult and frequently frustrating that is. You will also be discouraged from breeding to other people's horses as well, since stallions up for public stud usually have breeding rules that require using the free testing features AND following their advice.
Of course, if you only want to breed pretty pixel ponies for your own private enjoyment, you can do as you please, but you will miss out on a lot of the very enjoyable camaraderie among the many players of this game.
If you decide to use all the free testing and follow the advice, and Saffron makes it past Charlie intact, then the best advice is to do a search for foundation mares up for public brood and breed them to him. Another road to go is to do a search for mares at the Foundation Rescue (Owner 13), and buy two or three that are at least 4 years old and less than 20 and have not been bred already this year. This information will be on their page. Then do another search for foundation stallions up for public stud and breed them to your mares.
Either the stallion or the mare must be put up for public use. Horses up for public breeding will have a button on their page that says "Breed to this Horse." Click on that. An section will appear at the top of the page with a drop down box with the names of the horses you have available for breeding.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
