Hey all! I turn 22 today *cue Swift theme* and I want to share some things with you! I started playing this game in September 2015, a few weeks before I broke my first bone and was laid out for over a month with not much to do. I was really struck by the supportiveness of this community and was enthralled by the artwork and chance to learn something that always seemed too complicated to self teach. That was a gap year (Thank God!) and I spent most of my time here. At that point, I was actually just starting to come out of a long depression, thanks to therapy and hope, and I kept in touch with the boy I was interested in through middle school and high school, although he never asked me out, and I was never asked out.



So ponies were a really nice getaway and learning experience. Not to mention that that Christmas Ammit had Princess Flufflepuff and turned on the I Didn't Die sale which gave some things at like 50% off so I actually had someone gift me about $100 real dollars in pastures, barns, and maybe some GMTs? I forget.

I ramble.



At my two year mark on this game, I had already been at a great art college for a year and was into my sophomore year by a month. I stopped using the gene test to see what a horse was made of. I was already a year and a half into a relationship with the Boy I mentioned earlier, who remains to this day to be the most sensitive, kind, loving young man I've ever known. In fact, one of you gave me advice on how to know one is in love, and when to tell them.



The previous year, I completely dropped breeding and everything for school. I was really excited to be there, and everything was interesting enough to keep me away for most of the school year. Once summer came, I was completely back into it and stayed in for the second year.
At that point, the game became a problem. (not you!)
I've always had issues with self-control and computer time, but it's clear to me now that it's been an addiction for a long time, and computer time in general gets in the way of real life and real fun.
In fact, before Hunt and Jump, it was Howrse, Minecraft, Pinterest, ChickenSmoothie, and even Wish, the shopping thing. I used that a few months to get some really cheap (in both ways) Christmas gifts. That didn't help me do my homework, either. These are even just the bigger, more recent names. I think I started Howrse in 2011? Nope, I just checked...I registered May 2009, with 2300 days logged in. I got to the 20,000s in the general rankings at my peak, out of a few hundreds of thousands. Now I remember I was also big into some facebook games before that...

Maybe I needed it when I was nervous to be bored, but now I have things that need my attention.



Not that this is ending badly.

Especially not for you!

Really, this is a happy thing. I'm making more room for important things, like experience with my art, attention with physical friends, making real money. Adulting. Sleep. I know from experience that I can check in on a game without getting too into it, so it's not like I have to delete my account. Who knows, maybe some day I'll be confident in my self-control...I think I'll stay with the facebook groups, too, though new genes might tempt me (Ammit really pulled out the stops this June--it's like she knew!).
I know I'll remember the kindness and philanthropy, heartbreaks and successes...like the time I bred the third horse to ever reach 18 hands on HJ2, or the time Confluence bought me a Premium upgrade for Christmas, or allll those times I had to alter a perfectly beautiful colt because he was only AGA his sire...



So I hope to be mainly off by my 3rd anniversary here, in September. I figure summer is a enough time to say good bye and maybe see a little more progress in very select areas...I've found it's a lot easier to choose top favourites when you know you're going to drop everything eventually. I used to have about 100 studs, but now I have fewer than 10 that I'm actually paying attention to. Not that I could pay attention to everyone every year anyway...
The bottom line is, I have a lot of breeding stock to get rid of.



So, to thank you for your time and effort in keeping the community special, I want to open my barns to you.

I'm planning something more special for my Limited Edition gene Foundations, so they're not available for now, and studs with Roman numerals in front of their names are the ones I've been using, although I think I'm about done with most of them. For any horse I might not make available now, I'll still reserve for you later, so don't be shy! I also have straws and a gazillion RS eggs.
