So in December I had asked Cheers if she'd be willing to sell me some straws from one of her stallions. I didnt own i2 but I do own the restricted genes he carries. We had both checked and i2 isnt in orange so not restricted. Just requested not to share. I have kept all of i2 my babies in house. This season for some reason it wont let me breed my horses with i2. I thought it was the one pasture but then tried to put a different stallion in the pasture and it bred all but the two mares who carried i2. Not sure whats going on!

Ice2 is now on the closed gene list :)

It wasnt when I bought the straws and bred the horses though. So I still dont understand why I wouldnt be able to breed them.

It was originally an open gene from what I understand. Not sure when Ammit made it closed.

No it was a closed gene always on HJ2, and was not supposed to be shared. It is HJ1 where it used to be somewhat open. With the new license system it is now properly catching the cases where it was shared by mistake. I won't take away any horses here for sure. Not your fault it was unclear but also not sure it's right for me to give you the license either. Can I think on it? :)

Not according to this post and the faq. I can also send you a screenshot of mine and cheers conversation if youd like just to show that we both had checked and were under the impression that it was allowed. Just like ice 5 which I did buy.

Did this ever get resolved? I have some Axiom/ice 2 foals that are to be bought by folks who have Axiom but not Ice 2. FAQ lists ice 2 as “limited” but not closed. Don’t want to break any rules...
