I tend to favor what I consider "cool" colored horses - black, grullo, blue roan, etc, with loud appy markings. So I chose to feature my show horses that fit the profile - enjoy! I know I had a ton of fun decorating them all :)

Decided to do a complete redo!
A lot of my show horses are a variety of colors and shapes so I decide why not represent how much my breeding has changed over the years? I've expiremented with several different color lines and tries to choose horses that would showcase that. The tack theme is based a lot on what I grew up around in central Nebraska! Which was mostly cow ponies.

I finally got down to doing this. I love simple, sleek looks in pretty much everything in real life, so my pixel ponies tend to reflect that (now that I look at it). I added tack to the look that I typically use for all my horses for these guys. And Gift Cat, because I still love him.

I do enjoy tacking up my show ponies when I can find the time. I lost some of my favourites from when I first started this rollover so I chose to spiff up some of my older showers, here's hoping they'll get lucky when they hit the higher digits.

I just love playing with tack on my show ponies, so this contest is super fun. I was inspired by the citrus background to make a lemony, matchy-matchy team of dressage ponies, featuring a few favourite show ponies of mine (aka, ponies I wish hadn't failed BA). I also love playing with the build a bridle pack and customising bridle/bit options for individual horses.

This girl isn't technically a show pony, but since she's now too old to breed (23!) I like to think she's getting a new lease on life and having some fun this summer in the local shows.

This boy is my pride and joy. He might have been gelded, but he's proved to be a pretty good show horse. He's levelled off perfectly and wins almost every show, and has earned himself a few champion awards. He'd probably win a whole lot more if I actually played a bit more often and remembered to enter my horses.

These last few are all gorgeous ponies that broke my heart when they got altered.

I haven’t really developed a solid line of show ponies in any one gene yet, I have been keeping my breeding on the low side and using HH creates for the most part for my show ponies. I do hope to develop a show pony line from each of the fantasy genes I have and then customize a look for each line.

I nearly forgot about this!

I went with a Dark vs Light kind of theme with mine. I tried to find horses who were "opposite" of each other and choose a light and dark theme for each style of riding :)

I managed to find 10 assorted White 2 Bays, some with other interesting genes as well, and tacked them up for the dressage arena. I'm not entirely certain that the big pair at the end will go very far in that discipline, but these 10 were what I found.

Chocolate Palomino is my favorite base color, and then I like to add kit M, white 3, and splash M combined with appaloosa. And of course I love snowflake appys! I also love reining and cutting horses, so they've been tacked up accordingly.

I went with 5 drafts, outfitted for their flat work, and 5 warmbloods outfitted for their hunter jumper shows. Each bone weight got their own background, and tack to match the background while still showing off their markings. I favor red based DP appy and KitM, with fantasy genes mixed in.
