How to enter
Reply to this thread with images and links to a set of 10 show horses you own. They should be tacked up and ready for summer fun.

Rules
Every horse MUST be using one of the new Summer Refresh Tack Pack backgrounds.
You may use any other basic or tack pack tack items you have access too.
You can enter with as many game accounts as you own but only one entry per account.

Judging
I will be selecting winners largely at random but I do want to see a cohesive theme or direction with your herd.
I want to see good effort put into tacking these horses up in a way that looks cool. They should look show ready.
Number of winners will be picked based on number of entries.

Prizes!
I am giving away copies of the genes that are/have been on sale. (That includes mushroom, the closed gene, GMT genes and still unreleased genes) I plan on giving away at least $100 worth of genes. Exact amount will vary based on entries.

It limits what I can do with tack, but nothing says "a fresh clean start" to me quite like ten home-grown snow white foals, just beginning their show careers! All of these foals are second generation foals from my Ice Star bloodline, and named after some of my favorite summer activities.

I am fairly new so I don’t have too much to show at the moment.
I am aiming to eventually have a flashy “black” show line (so anything black, blue roan, grullo, black liver, etc). I have a mish mosh of bone densities right now but have been favouring drafts this season.

These guys are all from my show barn.
The first six are from my evenly bred line, the last four are from my bootstrap line.

I mainly breed for DP agouti colors, with or without sooty, so i chose horses that expressed those colors. I do also breed for silver, pearl & champagne versions of those as well, but went with the darker horses here because I think they show up better with the bright summer backgrounds. I have all sizes and body types in my herd because variety is the spice of life!

10 from my show herd which is primarily made up of closed genes, this batch in particular is Nexus/Axioms. 2 years old get geared up for in hand classes. Once they reach 4 they get tacked up further.

I've redone my guys to something more breed applicable.
I picked the horses because they are a fantastic representation of what I'm aiming to breed, I try to breed kitM riding ponies and horses that are also DP and KP and have as many extra white genes as possible.
Anyways so onto my horses, they are off to some big arab shows this summer in many different classes.
This mare is of to the ridden Concours d'Elegance class.

My theme is Old Timers Day Out. What better way to enjoy your old faithful show ponies than hitting the trails for a nice relaxing ride! This may be these boys and girls last year with me so I decided to show them off.

These girls were my last pointed creates, snipped a batch of ExPer immediately to see how much of a difference they have in showing over their lives.
Numbers in their names are their original point values.

They got neon paint all over themselves, how embarrassing. They are trying to hide their shame with their backgrounds, some more successfully than others.

I based my theme off of my Macchiatto horses. I love this gene. Their tack is a mix of western riding because that is what I ride in. My heart is set on learning to ride English. So I have a few dressed to show Dressage.

I decided to go with my liver herd and I picked backgrounds according to where I live. I picked the Miami because I'm in Florida. I picked the Citrus because I'm in Citrus County. I picked the Floral because I live in Floral City. Then Picked the Ocean Coral and Sea Bright because the ocean is never far a way here in Florida. Then I picked Rainbow Burst because I have been changing my hair color with the season and my husband has been calling me Rainbow Bright lately lol. The tack I played with because I wanted to pick something that would fit each individual horse and show them off the best.

I like to think of my pearl show herd ponies as being ready for their led classes haha. Their tails are done to be ready for work or riding depending on the size and the foals are here for summer halter classes :D

I love drafts. The bigger the better. On Seaswell Ranch my horses may show, but their real heart is in the work... So we let them pull things and prance about town giving rides by hay wagon and covered wagon and occasionally by sled if the weather is right. They may tolerate a saddle, but prefer being ridden bareback if they can't be in hitch.

Loved the fancy dress classes at the pony club shows when we were kids. It was always exciting to see what everyone had chosen and how well behaved (or not) the ponies were. so I had to include A fancy dress class at the end

In my breeding herd I try to breed for pearl combined with some of the other genes so I like to keep show ponies that have genes I want in my breeding herd, but if they are adorable I keep them anyway ;)

Last season was the first season I opted to get really serious about narrowing down breeding goals, as well as getting better about altering babies who weren't meeting higher criteria. I opened a small bootstrap line to boost my show herd, and cracked down testing. I have opted to share my heartbreaks from last season. The babies that killed me when they were altered. I chose last years foals, as this is their first "big kid" season, where they can be fully tacked. So, I breed for blacks, roans and aim to include sootyness and silver into my lines. So the horses I will be presenting have not met my requirements where color is concerned. I also breed for height, so you might see some shorter horses.

What a fun idea! Everyone's ponies look great! Here are my ten. I tried to pick horses that went together nicely so most of these guys are out of my Sable project (which is my main focus currently). I aim to breed mostly cobs as that is what I ride and show in real life. In my mind, my Clenhan Cobs are beautiful and versatile breed. Capable of doing many different jobs and looking fabulous whilst doing so! I tried to showcase that by tacking my guys up for many different classes, from bareback to barrel racing!

that should be ten. mine dont have any other tank on except their halters because i live in england and in my local shows (not under saddle) there can be no other tack on the horse as it restricts their natural looks :)

My horses are western show horses that compete in western pleasure, horsemanship, and trail. In the western show world each horse and rider wear colours that compliment the horses coat colour. I based each horse on this and that is why they aren't identical. As for the yearlings they are in leather show halters and compete in Halter, and Lunge Line classes.
