Does this guy have DP?

Hi. I'm pretty new at this and am trying to figure out if this guy is carrying DP or not?

Collecting- Appaloosas, Snowflakes, and Kit M -
Yes - Mum is hom DP so must have passed a DP on.

But he is het DP - if he was hom DP he would be called liver as he has one sooty. :)
Looking at his coloring he looks like he has 2 darkening genes - one sooty and one DP. -
Also another tip
A liver chestnut has to have 3 of the 4 darkening alleles (sty, S+, dp)
A black chestnut/black liver has 4 of the alleles and looks like a black horse.
I can provide different examples if you like or we can get someone in here to link you to a previous dp topic----
