I'm in a city, though I grew up in a suburb bordering on rural? (well it used to be, but it's all built up now, sigh.)Thanked by 1nycequestrian

Rural, 5 hours from any Major Cities like Melbourne, Adelaide, etc.
Though a town about a 10 minute drive away is becoming like a mini City lol!●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

Currently living in town :(
I am a country girl. Raised with the neighbours cows and horses and pigs escaped into our front yard.
I am aching to get back to the country. I miss having horses as well. Its been just over a year since I sold my last horse :(DivineDreams ~ 30908

I lived in a suburb, then a rural area for the longest stretch of time, then back to small town and now in a townhouse. I hate not having a yard, but it's just temporary until I'm done with college. I really miss living in the country.Thanked by 1nycequestrian

I'm both a city girl and a country girl! The big apple is my home and will always be, but escaping to true nature is always necessary. I move around a lot but always flock back to the urban life.Have a nyce day!

I am a country girl through and through. I lived in the city for a few years and hated it. I now live out in the country again. My town Sweeden is just that small. One little convenient store. The county I live in is the only county in our state that has no signal lights in it. I love it. I rent a place with about 6 acres of land for 275.00 a month.Thanked by 1nycequestrian

The town I live in now has a population of 2500. The police and fire departments share the same tiny building, and the town general store has been in business since the 1700s. The roads are most likely colonial cow paths that got paved over. I love the brushes with history living in a rural area can offer!ID# 43830

I live in a town that only has 5 streets, 2 of which are unpaved. So, I'm rural. I have chickens and ducks in town. A lady the next street over has horses in town, she has a bigger lot than me.#28036Thanked by 1nycequestrian

I wish I had livestock... But what I do have is two cats and two hamsters without a smart between them :) The phrase 'As dumb as a sack of hamsters' is very appropriate for our pets.#4519Thanked by 1nycequestrian

I live in a big city. I grew up out in the middle of nowhere and will never live on a dirt road again if I can help it.45140

Born in suburbia.
Raised rural(ish?) Lived a mile out of a small town on a 3 acre hobby farm with an orchard on the side of us towards town and a suburbia across the street further towards the country, so... meh?
Now I live in a small college town with total population of about 20thousand including students, so I can easily walk to where the grain silos and the hay fields are, but the population density makes Manhattan look spread out... So once again, meh.Thanked by 1nycequestrian -
I'm currently living in a medium town, I think it's got 14k people?
I was raised in a rural town (250 people) and I'm moving this summer to another rural town (500 people) and a half hour drive from the local main town that has around 3k people. And like 5 hours away from the large city, Omaha.
I'm so excited, I'm not meant to be in such a populated area :))
Once I'm more financially stable I hope to get my own horse! Well a pony actually. I'm not expeirenced/confident enough to ride even though I'd love too. Just want a pasture puff
@Haltanny that sounds a lot like the smaller towns in my area! We were going to move into a house who's closest neighbor was a donkey----

I am from the UK and live in a medium sized town (20k people) close to rural areas. My horses are 1 mile from me on the outskirts of town and it only takes 40mins to hack out into the Peak District Park from there. So I get the best of both worlds - I am very lucky :)
-
Very small town girl here lol. The nearest real town is 45 minutes at least in any direction. I have 8 acres smack in the middle of hay and cow pasture and I love it. I can't stand being in town and try to get outta there as fast as I can lol.Thanked by 1nycequestrian

I grew up in a rural area 10 miles away from a small town (population 2500) moved to a moderate college town for two years. Decided I could not do big city life, even though Auburn is not a big city, moved to a rural area 10 miles away from a small town (population 2500). I am a small town girl.Thanked by 1nycequestrian

I live in a small town in a rural area. I don't like living in town itself with a small yard and neighbour's so close, there's barely enough room for my dogs and goat. But the farm where my horse lives is just 10min away. And if you drive 45min in either direction you can get to cities like Brisbane and Toowoomba. It's a great area, best of both worlds almost.Thanked by 1nycequestrian
