Here's is a genetic puzzle too difficult for me to figure out. So I am going to let some of the member's, that understand genetics a little more than I do, come up with some ideas on how this guy got his white.

First off, I really like this guy, he is all white for now as a colt. He may show a little color when he turns two. With his parents, I couldn't figure out where he got all that white from. So, I color tested him. It says buckskin splash. I will post his link so you can look at his gene pool. Could it come from his SpsSps PAX3c7oy? He does have 1 copy of Ccr, and 1 copy of Ssty. The only thing I came up with is, he just got a lot of splash, and all of him looks like he was dipped in white, instead of part of him.

I rerolled him twice, and he now has blue eyes, Yay! I also took Abbey and Cheers idea on naming him. So he is now 4 Oh My Splashhhhhh.

He has three white pattern genes. That's a lot of white patterns, and that's why he's white.

Yeah... he's buckskin OMGSPLASSHHHHHHH!!!!. ;) He is basically one big spot. Interesting that his white factor is None though.

I'd reroll him till his eyes were blue ;)

Please post him again when he matures, I'd love to see what he looks like.

It's interesting how that third splash gene exponentially increases the expression--clearly on his sire's side there are two splash genes going and he's not particularly "splashy" at all.

I would agree that it must be the action of the Splash 2 on homozygous Splash 1.

A couple of them have no white factor as well. Or, it may be one of the weird things happening with the image generator just now.

I refreshed Romantic Discussion. He has a lot more white now, instead of having the frame suppressing most of it.

Thanks for participating in the experiment!

It seems weird to me that Romantic Discussion, with the same combination of spash genes, and a higher white factor, would have less white than the other ones.

He has frame, as does Braveheart. The solid white ones don't.

Thanks! So happy all of you had so many ideas about his gene pool. I think I am going to reroll, and see if I can get blue eyes. I also really liked the name, so changed it to Oh My Splashhhhhhh. Thanks Everyone!
