Mushroom In Real Life!
Mushroom is a real homozygous recessive gene, found in the Shetland breed. The exact location is not known but they know roughly where it is located and there is now a test for the gene. The Mushroom gene appears to acts only on red pigment and desaturates the color leaving a sepia hue to the coat. Manes and tails range from slightly diluted to near pure white. For a long time there was speculation if the gene was even real. The color is not quite cream, not quite dun, not quite silver.

You can purchase mushroom now through June 14th. As soon as the calender hits the 15th it's gone.
Mushroom is a closed gene and requires a breeder license (comes with your purchase) to breed.
You must have two copies and visible "red" pigment for mushroom to show.

Where does one get those cool new backgrounds? I looked in tack - no luck

So, why am I not seeing the backgrounds? I’ve logged out, closed browser, logged in, logged out, closed browser, cleared history cache and cookies, logged in, nothing.
Decision making is not my strong point.
For the next 72 hours I’ll be focusing on _____ (insert breeding goal here). -
The tack pack probably isn’t available yet, you can click on ammits sample horses and see them :-)
Also just purchased this gene! found a hidden gate rs for sale on the sales board and snatched it up so quick I think i broke my phone screen clicking so fast! X-D

@JadenGrove Did you purchase the mushroom gene? Normally Ammit adds the genes once a day, in the morning, the day after the purchase. So, if you purchased the new gene today, it should be on tomorrow.
