So, as I've been perusing posts and auctions of Rank Specials I've noticed that some are much harder to find/way more expensive when sold. I was wondering why that was and if there was a list of them that noted how rare each type is.

Sadly there isn't a list that notes how rare they are, just the one that lists all of them. Some of the RS only come out once. These are like Nanotech Primer. Others are only shared to us from Ammit, like the Freaky Friday, which is shared every Friday the 13th.

Some are only released on special days (Freaky Friday only comes up on Friday the 13th) or to mark special dates white wedding to celebrate Ammit's wedding. There is a link around somewhere that lists them all

@Bandit, I've read the list of them and use it on occasion, I was just wondering if there was a version that included rarity. Like, I don't know, Nanotech being super rare and Color With A Really Long Name being common. Partially to know what to look for and partially to know how to price any I want to sell.

:D I don't think there is a list of rarity. I only breed Grullo's so I don't really pay attention to most rank specials unless they've been GMT grullo lol

But when in doubt post the horse in question asking for opinions on pricing or post a forum for a few days. Most Rank Specials will have good results in forum auctions especially if the title is specific and either doesn't have a starting bid or a low one (~5k) then players get into a bidding war to fight over them. If you start the bid at 20k you probably wont get much more than that.

For straight sale I tend to put a 25k price on most RS horses and reduce it if its been on the boards for more than a week.

The ones coming often on the HHs recently seem to be:-
Brindle breakout
Better Brindle Breakout
Autumn's Arrival
Wet N Wild
Vault of Stars
Color with a Really Long Name
Yule Log
Champagne Fizzy
Blackest Night
Fuel To The Fire
Catch A Blue Moon
Texas Tea
Shades of pale
White Wedding (used to come out less regularly on Ammit's wedding anniversary :) )
Stars And Stripes Forever (often comes out as well on 4th July and US veteran day).

The others come out on specific days/ holidays.
Esp Valentines day, Friday 13th, Summer and Winter solstice, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year.
Nanotech was a one off. As was The Diamond Age (now all deceased :( )

I have probably missed things off but this is what I have noticed. :)

You can always run their RS tattoos in Search Horses to see how many are in the game right now. For instance, there are 760 unaltered Conversation Hearts and 1,070 unaltered Freaky Fridays. Of course, that doesn't factor inactive players or which RS's people are more likely to hang onto, but it's a start.

Freaky Friday, Kings Ransom, and Rhythm Of Four, all have DP which can make them more sort after too

@Dinascar And Silver Pocket Watch (which I'm collecting and I love it when I roll one or nab a share, lol!).

Shadows, all of the ones Dinascar listed tend to sell between 10k and 20k, from what I've seen. The more rare ones I've seen go for 30k+ when they do go up for sale, which isn't often. As Kintara points out, those three with DP make them more valuable, so you'll see higher prices for those, too. This last Friday the 13th (Freaky Friday day!) I saw at least two Freaky Fridays sell for 100k, though that's a bit overpriced, I think. Normal days you could probably get someone to part with an un-GMTd one for 30-40k, but there seems to be a bit of a mania on the actual day of, lol.

This time last year we had the Nanotech and this time 2 years ago was The Diamond Age (not that I was around then). I guess it's anniversary time :X (I was hoping!)
