Search, barn page and horse page updates. What do you want to see?
  • If we could select multiple mares in the pasture to be able to send them to a particular barn would be good. Instead of having to clear pasture then having them all empty into the primary barn.
  • Not sure how feasible or difficult this would be, but it just occurred to me today when I was trying to search up macchiato studs that it would be wonderful if we could somehow either search the horse's public notes, or include a way to search horses that have straws offered. With closed genes there's no way to determine which ones are "available" or not if they're not in the chat for stud/brood, since they can't be stood public. This means that people usually include in the horse's notes if straws/eggs are for sale and for how much.

Again, not sure how hard that would be, and it may be entirely impossible with the current code, but if it's feasible it's definitely something that I would like to see implemented.

Hmm, or maybe a separate stud/brood list for closed genes that would also be searchable like normal? That would be neat (albeit likely difficult to implement, as that would be an entirely separate page(s) to deal with). Maybe a 'save for later' idea. :)

  • Your best bet for closed genes is just post an ISO thread on the forum or the buddy chat.
  • I can second wanting to empty my pastures into a particular barn, not just dump them all in my primary barn.

Once I have entered horses into the auction, I do not remove them.
  • One change I'd like to see on the search page is the addition of PATN with LP as an option. There's room in the LP box for it. :)

  • It was rather to get a feel for how much other people are offering straws for rather than searching for my own, but thank you :)

  • I've just realized I would love it if there was a way to tell horses have leveled off other than clicking on every horse individually to look. lol

  • @justasaddletramp you can usually tell by their pt score.
E.g PT 12.30 would level off just after they are twelve.
That is why horses with low pts can be created already leveled off :)

  • Not sure if this counts since it's for pastures, but anyway to transfer mares between pastures without having to pull them into the barn and losing their days in pasture to do so?

  • You can already do that Ceffyl. Go to the pasture you want them in, scroll ALL the way to the bottom of the selection list. The mares in pasture have a dash by their names. Select the one you want to add to that pasture, and click Move. If you want to move more than one, do Ctrl±click

  • Thanks Confluence I didn't realize it would let me move them that way since their names were greyed out :)

  • @ParadisePark ... Yeah. Thank you! I never connected the PT to age they level off. :\"> That's much easier to figure out than clicking every single horse to check like I did last night.

  • So I didn't read the last few pages to see if anyone mentioned it. My phone hates hover menus which makes it difficult to sort horses while I'm culling as I like to sort by PT. It's just a very minor inconvenience of having to touch the screen until my mini menu opens for the hover menu to stay open to choose PT.

Changing it to a straight drop down or something would make it easier when using the site by mobile.
  • One thing on the horse control panel you could maybe consider is a tab that will show all foals born to the horse (both stud and dam). I think it could really help people with breeding for certain genetics. Example: I have a mare and I'm breeding this one for a show foal. I have two studs that look good to me but cant quickly choose between the two, I could look at other foals he has sired, see how close the dams of those foals are to my own to help make the decision. I know that's not a fool proof way to judge what a foal will be but its another tool to get an overall ideal of what your foal could be. Plus for those breeding for color and patterns this could be even more helpful and even help some with understanding how genetics work.
  • I'd like to be able to access a horse's sales on chats or wherever from their page. Has anyone else mentioned this? I haven't been keeping up...but it would be nice if I didn't leave a horse I decided to alter (after leaving them on a sales list for a long time) on a list just to find out they're still up.
  • If a horse is for sale in a chat room it already shows you that on their page.
  • As an add-on to the check boxes in the pasture, I would love to have a check box on the search view so that i can select/move/test multiple horses at a time that way. I can't tell/remember who is who from the standard list view and it gets very time consuming to click on each horse and do that one at a time.

  • I would like to see an easier way to search my barns and pastures for specific horses. E.I. unbred mares, stallions without having to use the main search horses page. And maybe a friends list.
  • I would love it if you made it so we can see on the search page if horses in auction have been bid on. Like, a whole lot. lol

  • This may have already been mentioned but I would love to be able to see which of your auctioned horses was purchased by a player. It currently shows that a player won the horse at auction but you can’t see which horse it was.

Also it would be nice to have a pop up “are you sure” menu when you are rolling herd helpers because I keep using 5k hbs accidentally when I get too click happy. Or make it a separate button :)

  • I would like to be able to search by specific paper and perhaps a way to put in they must have so and so testing done.
  • Any possible way to sort the search by whether a horse has been gene tested or not? I don't always get that done same day, and when I look for missed ones I end up looking through all my foals - and when they're in auction and I want to look through horses that other people haven't gene tested, it gets even more difficult, lol.

  • Ooh another thing I’d also like a way to see if a horse has been regular breeding advice or sba. When looking at outside stallions to breed to or mares or stallions to buy it’s sad when you get them nd realise they haven’t been ran through sba and they get snipped. And due to my strictness all my breeders must pass sba minus a few exceptions.

  • All horses say if they have had breeding advice already.
  • Yeah but you can’t tell whether it’s been jut regular or strict when owned by someone else can you?

  • Only after you buy it, which I’m assuming you mean is your problem. There’s only the “untested” indicator, nothing once they’ve been tested saying whether it was BA or SBA tested. Some people put it in the horse’s notes or name if it’s passed SBA because of that, but not everyone. I would also like this feature, definitely.

  • @Ammit I meant something besides the sale button--Could we put a horse up in chat sales from the horse's page, too? drop-down lists of chats you're a part of with greyed out names for the ones that the horse doesn't apply to (now that we have specialized genes applied to a lot of chats) would be awfully handy. :)
  • My game has a constant reoccurring lag where it opens and refreshes the Creat a Horse page without me even touching the screen... this wouldn’t be a problem, but whenever it refreshes it automatically pays for a new HH roll. I’ve lost a lot of hb because of this glitch
  • I don't know if this thread is still open, but had an idea that came to mind and wanted to add.

Just like we have a "disable testing" option on a horse's page, I would love to have a "disable auction" option. Something that you could individual select on horse's page that would prevent you from accidentally auctioning it. Just like with the testing button, you could click it again to be able to auction it but the two-step process would limit accidents!
  • @Waldgraf I was just thinking the same thing yesterday.

  • Something that I've recently been watching is a simple button to click that will only show horses with out a white pattern.
So you type in the color you want to see (ex place pearl) then click a button that says "solid" and then the search automatically removes all white patterns
I'm not sure if that is possible to do but it's be really handy.

I'm not sure if this falls under this category but it would also be nice to be able to collect multiple straws at one time. Right now (on mobile) I have to scroll to find the horse, click to collect the straw, and repeat times however many straws I want. It takes a long time
I understand how it might be an issue as far as mistaking goes but maybe a warning box could pop up to either confirm that you want X number of straws or a warning box could show up if you try to pull more than 5 or 10 at a time. That way you don't accidently add an extra zero.

  • @ColorGoodStables Pulling multiple straws from a horse at one time is a premium account perk, I believe. I'm able to do so and wasn't when I just had basic.

  • @Colourgoodstables Premium members can Mass collect straws though maybe a drop bar where you can select a stud then next to it has a collect button.
The studs name stays there so you don't have to scroll but you still have to press the button for each straw. Just saves scrolling:D

  • @ParadisePark I have a box I can enter the number of straws to pull. It’s right next to the drop down bar, to the right of it. You just enter the number of straws you want and pull them all at once. I was pretty happy to see it was a thing when I upgraded, because pulling a bunch of straws one at a time was almost as annoying as entering shows one at a time for free accounts :))

  • @Lallyhop im aware of that.
Thats why I explained to ColorGood that premium members could.

My Idea had nothing to do with entering a number to collect but has the drop down menu premium players have making it abit easier than scrolling down to the bottom each time :)
They would still manually need to click the "Collect Straw" Button .

  • I don't know if anyone has mentioned this but I would love to be able to sort by age in the search.
    ID: 16853
  • I'd love to be able to search for a horse ID in any horse's lineage, as far back as the pedigree can go. :) so far we can see the number of direct descendants of any horse by going to their family tab, although does that count dead horses? But I think it would be really cool to see how many of my horses' heritage can be traced back to early favourite foundations, mine and others'.

At this point maybe there should be separate searches that can do different things, like the Geneological search that just does stats, genes, the heritage search, but might also include deceased horses, and a sales board that focuses on genes, points, type, etc.

@CWScowgirl It already does, really, but it's by ID number, so if you're searching for lined horses, just leave it at default sorting, and if you're looking for Foundations, you can likely just use the age range just as easily. :)
  • I dont know if someone else has noted this. If so, sorry.
I love to see away to drop a horse you where out bidded on, on your bid watcher.
I wont like to see a max bid opinion as I feel it wouldnt be a unfair to newer players. Plus it fun to have those bidding wars!
