Sneaky, sneaky frame
-
She's splash and frame, and no visible white on her at all. It seems a dirty trick that something that could result in no foal (and far worse in real life) can be so sneaky.

As long as I have been playing this game, frame has been known as the Ninja gene. It has to have some sort of white pattern to work on, and even then, for instance with heterozygous splash or tobiano, its effect can be very, very subtle. The only tell-tale is that there will be less white than you might expect for the amount of white factor the horse has--tobiano stockings shorter than expected, for example.
And, just as in real life, a horse may inherit frame without inheriting any splash or white spotting genes. This is why genetic testing is so helpful.
It's why it's a good idea to mark frame horses in some way--with a tattoo if that option is available or with some symbol in the name if it isn't.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."
