Beside myself tonight...
-
I'm in Alabama working but all but one of my horses and most of my stuff is back home in Illinois. Well regarding the stuff it WAS there...
Got about 6 calls in a row from my momma at 2 am before I finally woke up enough to realize something was wrong. She answered the phone and told me something had happened at home.
Tonight our six stall barn along with 5 sheep and all of my saddles and bridles I had used for teaching riding lessons all burnt to the ground. The horses are all as safe as they can tell tonight but they had to be shuffled around so here's to hoping nobody does anything ignorant to one another. My father had to literally chase them away from the barn as they were trying to stay close to it.
I don't even know what to say. I'm glad my horses and my father are ok but all of the equipment I worked hard to buy over 3 years along with everything I got growing up - gone. -
So sorry to hear that, my thoughts are with you!●▬▬▬▬▬▬๑۩۩๑▬▬▬▬▬▬▬●

I'm so sorry. Fire is a nightmare. And being away from home right now must be tremendously hard.

Oh my goodness, that is horrible! Wishing the best for you and your family.

Fire is my worst nightmare. I’m terribly sad for you and the poor sheep but so glad your horses and your father are ok. Sending you big hugs.

My condolences to you and yours. I hope that in the morning all the horses are alright.
I've got a great sentimental attachment to the family western saddle, I can't imagine losing everything else that you've earned yourself.
Sending hugs and hope to you from home.ID# 25784 Home of quality Artylian Drafts & Cobs

Thanks so much.
Horses are ok today. A few of them had a wild night as the firefighters released them in a last ditch effort to get them away from the barn but my father was able to find them this morning.
We don't know what insurance will say or do about the barn as the cause was officially "undetermined'
I'm scared for the possible very tough decisions coming, some of these horses we have had for 10+ years.
