I've accidentally put a horse in the auction that should have been gelded. He had ice 4 and I don't see it on the game's "limited" or "closed" gene list. I think long ago I read that if you sold a horse and the purchaser didn't own a foundie with the gene it would be auto deleted or spay/geld. I couldn't remove from the auction since it had started and didn't have the option to geld, I tried selling back to the game to delete him, but it still shows him there. Add: I thought I had gelded him. I don't want someone to bid and then be upset when the horse is auto deleted or gelded, and honestly don't want subpar (g2 c paper) being bred..

Looks like the auction bidder got him anyways.

You can bid on your own horses by the way.

I did bid on my own horse to try and claim him.

On my end it did say that HuntAndJump was the owner after I sold him, and eventually on my end it showed "RECORD MISSING" and when you tried to click on him or his parents from the auction it says the horse was deleted.

Edit to add:
When I search for my ice 4 horses not owned by me I only see one, and it's not the accidental stallion. :)

What is the position with Ice3, Ice4, Ice7 etc genes? Are they allowed to be sold to anyone? I only ask as they aren't red in the gene test

I didn't see them in the info list in the game rules so I don't know for sure, but at one point I recall reading (just in forum posts) that if they were not able to breed and not an exclusive "ONLY YOU can own it" very expensive gene, then you could put em in the auction.

In the Genetics Guide, Ice 4 is listed as Privately Owned.

Ice 4 is the first one in the second row. The Privately Owned designation is under the color name.

Its a private gene. They were purchased with the agreement that they where closed.

No worries, that's what I thought but when the closed/limited genes went up in red and they didn't I thought maybe they weren't included
