I hope this is ok. This has been inspired by recent forum shows and a thread in another part of the forum about PT.

Top Prize - 100,000 HBs

Closing date for entries - 10th April 2018 at 6pm game time

Winner to be announced - May 1st

There are 3 parts to this competition.

Lowest PT score. This must be from a newly created horse created during this month/game year - horses bred for low PT will not be accepted.

Worst Show Horse. Nominate a gelding or spayed mare that you think will perform poorly (preferably one that you have kept just because it was too pretty to auction!)

Unplanned Bland Foal. One of those foals that come from gorgeous, flashy parents but are born bay, black or another mundane colour. Must be born this month/game year.

How it works. The points that the show horse has accrued between the 10th to the 30th April will be added to the PT score.

The bland foal will be scored on a scale of 1-3 on how big a disappointment it is (1 not unexpected, 2 bearable, 3 painfully disappointing)

The score of the foal will be SUBTRACTED from the combined PT and show score.

(So, for example, Dorris rates the low PT horse at 3
The worst show horse wins 5 points
The fugly foal is scored 3 points

so 3 + 5 = 8 - 3 = 5.
The player's score will be 5 )

The lowest score wins!

For the unplanned foal category. Got a straw from the winner of the Reach for the Stars event. I didn't want the w2 and wanted one of either the nexus or the Ice5. All she got was w2. And she was spayed on BA. I almost cried. 3, this one was painful. :|

Worst show horse AND Unplanned bland foal:

Letdown
1) I did not need any more boys.
2) His half-brother already secured the sire spot for their gen.
3) He managed to miss the the w1 and appy from his parents.
4) The game was merciful and snipped him automatically.
5) His goofy splash face annoys me.
6) He has a beautiful half-sister that was everything I wanted for g2 of my liver branch, but she was auto-snipped as well. Their mothers were from the same HH so he has no excuse for his blandface.

It really disappointed me that this filly was just white as her parents are what I am hoping to get so yea she was out of two awesome coloured horses and she came out plain

Maybe don't us the term fugly? Seems unnecessarily critical of the art. They are all the same horse, just different colors! Maybe just "disappointing result" instead?

One gal's fugly is another's treasure. This baby took his parents' genes and galloped off in the opposite direction from where I hoped he'd go. He isn't an unattractive horse, it's no criticism of the artwork at all, but... nonono.

Worst Show Horse- He's pretty but PT is a bit low. I dont think he's going to go very far. He's already started out losing both his first classes. (I know its random on foals) Some just have more luck. :P

Just looking at the show records, she doesn't seem to be very promising, but I just don't want to part with her.

I tried like, 4 mares in hopes of passing on the sire's ice. This was the last foal I checked and I had high hopes that at least this one would give me what I wanted. Not only did she not but she is just so...plain. nothing stands out at all about her. I'm only keeping her because she is a mare, otherwise she would have been sold back to the game before any testing.

Unplanned Bland Foal. - I was just hoping for a flashy show pony, mostly just playing with an untested mare I bought from the auction a while back. She received none of the good stuff and managed to pass BA with all sorts of funny stuff going on in her lines :))

I'll add to this as I go, but here's my entry for 'blandest and most disappointing foal'

SNLT II HowDidYouMissIt

His sire is a tobiano splash appaloosa, and his dam is my only sabino :( I was expecting him to get at least one of those four things, and he wound up missing all of them. I'll note that I also have a homLP and a homTOB in that pasture, which would have given me a nice tobi or appy foal at least, but no :((

I'd also like to point out that none of his living siblings have managed to pass SBA and all of them have managed to get sabino :(

Turns out he did get Sabino! I didn't realise that entries were closing so soon or I would have pulled him earlier, sorry.

Seems that you have 13 complete entries. I have a few suggestions now that you are in the scoring phase:

1) Adjust your start and end dates. It is unfair to someone that showed their entered horse on the 11'th that this week gets counted for them, while a horse that showed on the 9'th does not get counted.

Likewise, you'd want to end on a Saturday. The show weeks included in your contest are:
4/8 - 4/14
4/15 - 4/21
4/22 - 4/28
4/29 - 5/5

Or, seeing as the contest dates span 2 full and 2 partial weeks, maybe just tally the 6 most recent show results for each candidate. This would give the 29'th and the 30'th as make-up days if someone missed a showing.

2) Create a new thread with all eligible entries condensed, that you can keep updated. Something like:

Entrant: Callisto
Lowest PT score: 0.4 (ExProW2 Under Par)
Unplanned Bland Foal: Grade # (Letdown)
Worst Show Horse: # Total Show Points (Letdown)

Horse pictures are nice and all but they are clunky.

In your first post of the new thread, link back to this one, maybe give a short contest description, and leave room to announce your winners.

Then start your posts. If it is easier for you to edit, give each entry it's own reply. Just being all in the same format would do wonders for readability. Here's a template if you'd like to copy/paste the above formatting.
