Special colors
  • Nexus, candy, brindle
On these rare colors what passes down and how often?
  • Candy isnt a gene that you can breed for its just random.
Brindle is also random and pretty hard to get by breeding I don't know if it actually gives you more of a chance to breed brindle parents or not but I know you can get the occasional brindle from brindle parents.
Nexus is not random. It was a limited edition gene and it can be passed on.
  • Nexus breeders who have it are more than likely to keep that inhouse as ammit said it might not ever be for sale again
Life is Special live it to your fullest
  • Brindle is a mutation, basically, not a heritable gene, although it does seem to happen more often with brindle in the pedigree.

Nexus is inheritable, and it is dominant, so it will show on any horse who carries it (assuming they are dark enough for it to show). When homozygous it produces the trippy negative-picture effects.
  • And candy is like a wrapper. There is a normal colored horse underneath those stripes and if you breed a candy horse, those are the colors that will be passed on.
  • But don't eat the pony!
  • Lol! No! Pixel ponies don't taste good, even the candy kind!
