Show horse experiment
-
I'm doing a little experiment regarding show horses and how many points they can earn.
Im using Exceptional Show Horses , Great Show Horses, Perfect Foundations and Super Consistent horses.
With 5 of each I will regularly show and train them.
Permitting funds more horses will be added to get a better idea of how these Hh do in the show ring.
All horses except PFs will be spayed.
Horses will start showing as 2 year olds so I have time to get all the horses needed.
Eventually I will be comparing Consistent vs Inconsistent and It scores.
Would any one be interested in following along? :) -
Definitely! I haven't been playing long but I made a few HH exceptional showers 4yr olds and they haven't done much so far. Maybe I should have made them 2yr olds so they had gotten more training time under their belts comparitively. I'm really curious about what makes a good shower other that the obvious super high consistency performance score. I got gifted (new player giveaway) a couple show horses that have relatively non-impressive performance ratings that are amazing showers. I would like to know the secret!BREEDING DARKNESS (ok black liver but it sounds cooler)

I think the biggest thing is consistently training and showing.
At first they earn points slow because there isn’t much training and they are competing in small groups so are not going to win much but when they get older they will compete for higher prizes.
I have picked up quite a few horses that were trained but never shown much so they didn’t have much of a build up of points but now that they are being shown are just racking up the points.
I took a risk on 2 - 17 year olds in the auction last month with 18-20 points figuring I’d keep them a week and put them back in the last auction but by the time I’d entered them in 4 shows they had over 100 points. I decided to gamble again and kept them. Unfortunately the one passed but the other is at 288 points. (Shows ran while I was typing this and he now has 346 points.)
