Quick Purchasing Question

Hey guys, quick Q here. I've bought a few things from the site before and was very surprised by how quickly the purchases were added to my accounts (kudos, Ammit!). I just bought a watercolor gene a few hours ago and was wondering how long it would take to apply? I know it'll be a lot longer than an easy purchase like hb's or upgrades, but I was just wondering what time-frame I'm to be expecting here.
Can you tell I'm excited to see what my horse will look like?? ;) -
