Update on Last Years Twins
-
I thought it would be nice to post the twins from last season all grown up. \:D/
Here is the filly, she was the one that was foaled when I bred her parents. She got GP and Ssty Ssty.

Then when I went to my Primary Barn to move my foals, I found the colt, with TWIN at the end of the same name I'd given to the filly. He didn't get GP, but did get Ssty Ssty.

Thanks!

Technically since the parents are hom GP the twin is hom forit as well but doesn't show it because he lacks the genes to express it. If you GMT a missed agouti gene, he'll show it :)Thanked by 1PaintsStables

he is home, and has agouti. he needs a copy of black.
-
Thanks! I didn't realize lol :)

Yeah, being chestnut, he doesn't show up in the Gulastra Breeders Club is all. I have more than a few others that also are chestnut, and have GP foals. From both parents being Hom GP. Since, he is a twin, I just wanted to leave him as is, and play around with breeding him when he gets old enough.

How do you get twins? I'd love to have twins!! lolGoal: Twins that paper Star and Gold

CircleS, a whole lotta luck is involved. That being said, I am unsure if one method ups the chances over others.

Oh Ok I get it now lol RipshinCreekGoal: Twins that paper Star and Gold

Artifical breeding (using the advanced breeding lab in general I think) does up the chance of twins. I can't remember the exact numbers, but they are around somewhereThanked by 1PaintsStables

Oh and that's for upgraded Members.Goal: Twins that paper Star and Gold

You can get twins from live breeding too (including pastures), its just the breeding lab has slightly better odds of getting twinsThanked by 1PaintsStables

On 8.01.2017, Ammit said this..
"Twins have been updated so they are 4x more likely with straw and embryo breeding than live-cover breeding."
Thanks, Ritsika, for repeating the Twitter Feed in the general forum for those who couldn't see it.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

My twins were a straw and egg embryo. I always pull Mass Eggs from my GP and KP Foundation mares every season.
Depending on how many I get, I will put them back in Pasture for the Pasture Bonus next season. Or, if I only end up with a couple eggs, I will just show her, and Mass Egg Flush her the following season again.
