Water Color Foals Help
-
If I breed a Foundation Mare and A Fantasy Gene Stallion. If somehow I get a closed Gene and since I don't own the gene. Will the colt be sent back? Or will I be able to alter the colt without paying?Goal: Twins that paper Star and Gold

If you don't own the gene, you can't breed to that horse. That can get you and the owner of the closed gene horse in trouble. You can buy alters from breeders directly.Thanked by 1CircleSRanch

You're welcome :) Feel free to pm me if you ever want some altered closed gene horses. I'm sure I have a few I can part with.

Ok now I bought a watercolor foal with no problem and I didn't buy the gene. Am I or the seller getting in trouble?
-
Are you talking about Blackwater? You're fine, she's spayed. And she's very eye-catching!

Anyone can buy altered closed genes (geldings and spayed mares) in the auction or in a buddy chat. You just can’t breed to or own intact closed genes unless you bought in during an event.
