Help, Newbie alert - why are so many foundations (without colour herd helper) chestnut?
  • Hi,

The title says it all really - why is chestnut and bay I spose so common?
  • Because they are in real life.
  • Ammit has said it all, but I will add that one of the attractions of this game for me is that so many aspects of it are modeled on real life and so aren't completely predicable.

There are always enough wonderful surprises to off-set the disappointing ones. I remember breeding two black horses (the mare hadn't been color tested) and being astonished when they produced a palomino foal. So I tested the mare and found out that she was a Smokey Black and carried a hidden cream gene.
De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

  • That is true - just in the sales I can only find chestnut foundies - like ONLY.

    Thanks though ;)
  • Also because the less common ones sell. :) check auctions and sales. I put several decent foundries in the public auction for tomorrow.
