If you pick a horse that is registered in the KP Breeders club, all of its offspring will carry KP. If you don’t have KP mares to also contribute the gene, none of those offspring will “be” KP. KP has to be homozygous and there have to be 2 Kit pattern genes for it to be expressed.

If you’re looking to maximize your chances of KP, I recommend that you pick Hom KP stallions and breed them to mares that all have two Kit patterns (any two Kit patterns, don’t have to be the same, but remember to think about Kit lethality). Kit patterns are any of the white spotting genes including W20, Tobiano, Roan, either of the Sabino genes. They are NOT Appaloosa, any form of Splash, Rabicano, or Frame.

If you pick as I’ve suggested, all of your foals will be Het for the hidden KP and have 2 Kit patterns. When you breed them to each other, 1/4 of your foals will be KP

Sent them over. As already mentioned, you are guaranteed to get a kp carrier from any of the stallions that show it and are in the kp breeders club but need kp mares in order to guarantee a kp foal. Hope that made sense

What defines a horse as KP? Is it having two Kits in the genes?

Jheyda, KP is a hidden gene available in the Gene Modification lab. It never spontaneously shows up in the game, so the only way to get it is to put it on your own foundations or buy into a line. When a horse is homozygous for the hidden KP gene AND has two Kit patterns, it will “be” KP and will usually show a cloudy roaned type marking of some sort on its body. KP closely resembles real life “somatic mutations” which are not fully understood but seem to be some sort of in utero reaction to perhaps infection or heat, and do not appear to have a genetic basis.

I have a few KP horses for sale, mainly colts but there are a few fillies in there as well. I've also got a fair few KP stallions I could sell you straws too :)
