Was this a good idea?
  • I haven’t been as active the past couple months so yesterday and today I decided to thin down my herd. I sold/auctioned anything under 35 points and that was young that I didn’t need (so Mares and studs) but I kept all my show Ponies (I was planning on keeping them all) then today I took all my intact animals that weren’t worth my time for breeding I I spayed/gelded them keeping only RS and a few other horses. Even If they were leveled off and around 10 years I snipped them. Most of them had over 150 points so are still earning me a few hbs.

  • Every once in a while it’s good to narrow down your herd to start building it back up again. Keeping your show horses helps you keep an income coming in while you restructure your goals and stock.
  • @Riley1119 thank you!

  • You’re welcome. On my main account on both servers (bandit1119) I went through my horses a while ago and altered a bunch of mares and stallions and threw them in the show barns. Now I’m collecting more foundations to restart introducing new blood to my lines and hopefully get out of the stagnant trend my lines have been getting into. I kept all my show horses so money isn’t an issue for restructuring my herd.
  • I've done it a couple of times because I wasn't sure what lines I wanted to breed. I still don't really know :D It's one one of the good things about the game - you can start again! The good idea of your's was to keep show ponies. :)
