Does anyone focus on breeding tobianos? I'm thinking this is the direction I want to go, specifically hom tobiano, with specific colors coming later on as I'm just getting started, but I haven't seen very many on here in sales or elsewhere. I own two tobi paint mares irl and it's one of my favorite patterns. I know there are so many awesome colors and patterns on the game, just wanted to see if there's anybody showing some tobiano love like me!

As much as I love tobiano in real life, I'm not too aggressive with it on here just yet. There's been chatter that the gene is in the process of being made more dynamic, so I'm just kinda biding my time. :)

It seems like in all the corners of the game that I've looked in, tobiano is just a byproduct that no one is really aiming for, it just happens to be in with their other genes. I think that's why I want to try breeding for it specifically. I'm just starting out in the game and I think it's good to have a goal in mind. I've been looking for a couple hom horses to help me out and they're few and far between that match the standards I want to start with. Shoot, even a HH that's hom for tobiano and I've yet to see it. I'm thinking I'll have to start from scratch and breed a few hom tobis to get the start I want. That's fine with me too though. That would be too cool if it is being made more dynamic!

I'm starting to breed for it more and more. I'm currently GMTing a Freaky Friday stallion who will have it on him when he's finished.

Hes stunning and would look great with tobi on him! I just did three HH creates for Champagne Tobiano. I was satisfied with two of the three so I have a start, along with some tobi mares I already had. Now to save up some hb for breeding season next go around. What's killing me is I have a rank 5 Exceptionally perfect HH stud I lucked across that's just plain looking as he can be and I don't want to cut him out of the mix because I know he will help my lines, so I'm trying to figure him into my breeding mix and still wind up with color and I'm realizing it's gonna take MAJOR time and I'm impatient lol.

My first horse was tobiano so I definitely breed for it but try to stick with quality first so many of my 2nd gen tobianos are het and I get hom in the 3rd gen

That's what I'm hoping for. I'm going to put my tobi mares on the solid stallion and solid mares on the tobi stud and hope for the best. Hopefully in a few generations I'll have what I'm looking for color wise and class wise lol.

LadyHawk, it's fine if your stallions are plain! Breed him to coloured mares and keep the offspring that pass BA. If you can find something that's "True Breeding" with tobiano in it, then all of those foals would be guaranteed to have tobiano on them, which would help for the second generation.

"True Breed" HH's have it so that if two horses with that HH are bred together, the foal would be exactly the same as them. So a True Breeding Grullo Tobiano horse would be EE aa DD KitToKitTo.

I love the tobianos! I used to have a specific project for grullo tobiano splash. But then I figured out that classic champagne, silver black, plain black and grullo are all EE aa, and my other goals were needing some help I just kinda joined them all together. But I still have quite a few left from that program.

Sometimes tobiano is just that special something that makes something cool be amazing. I used to have a Toby IRL

I got 2 stallions from true breeding grullo tobiano as a few people suggested. Also about 30 mares. Here’s the more successful of the foundation stallions

ObsidianKitsune, that's what I'm planning on doing next breeding season. I've not been lucky enough to come across a true breeding tobi HH that wasn't shared up yet /:) but I'm still hoping!

HUSGirl, wow they're beautiful! Yes I love the way it expresses itself differently on each horse. My two tobiano mares I have irl got me thinking that's the way I want to go in this game. They look different as night and day but they're sisters lol. LadyHawk, my IDs namesake, is jet black with 4 white socks and 3 smallish white patches. Her sister Dandi, is nearly all white with a bay head and neck and a medium sized patch on her rump. Every time I look at them I'm like how could that even happen? Lol.

I love chrome/white on my horses, so I pick up the tobiano (along with any other white) HH's all the time. I don't know that I'm breeding for anything just yet, still too new, but I definitely like it! I especially like it combined with appaloosa, like this girl -

I don't only breed for tobiano, but I do like to keep in in my herd. Most of my foundations that had tobiano had regular bay, which I'm trying to breed out, so I have a way to go still before I'm getting the colors I want.

Tobiano and white spotted are two of my favorite patterns in the game, so I think combining those two patterns is going to be my breeding goal! The gelding below has both of those patterns and I think he's simply stunning. I would love to get some breeding stock to start producing horses with those patterns. My first IRL pony was a black tobiano so they'll always have a special place in my heart.

I'm a big fan of Tobi with bay ;) I especially like minimal tobiano since it's such a surprise with their offspring!

I love tobianos- have 2 of my own in RL but I only have a few in my breeding herd. Like RubyJoFarm I like to see tobi with other markings - always very pretty. I am moving towards black/dark brown and am using tobi in those - I will also be trying to put some tobi in my satin lines :)

Lol frame scares me, I don't wanna run the risk of having lethal whites just because I wasn't paying attention while breeding. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore the way it looks, I just know at some point I'll forget to look for it and wind up messing up lol.

I understand - I have a lot of time to sort my breeding out and a separate breeding pasture to put mares in before I breed them and a naming system to ensure no mishaps. I've not lost one yet (crosses fingers!).

I love lethal white, the way I get around it is making sure none of my dudes carry it, but all the mares can. I love the way it looks, but I'm not organised to have a boyo with it yet :)

I breed a lot of tobianos, although I don't breed for it specifically. I especially love the more minimal tobianos. Of my approx 6000 horses, over 3000 of them have tobiano

I just put a bunch of foundation mares up for public breeding. A lot of them have tobiano, and probably something else along with it. I really like how tobiano looks with splash, myself :)
