If your just starting out I would pay a little extra (2750hbs) and get a bunch of foundation rescue horses (ID# 13 I believe) and spay/geld them.

A lot of them have been sitting and training for quite a while and they have recently started to be shown so may already have points and the classes they are able to enter will earn them more points per win than brand new creates that are just starting to be trained.

Your daily show bonus will go up faster with the rescue horses. I’ve been picking up a bunch from there with 22-40 points and which add about 2-4hbs per day which isn’t a lot but most of them have earned 8+ points in their last show where as my 2 year olds are only earning about 3 points per show.

For every 9.33 points you earn 1hbs /day in show bonus. So my 2 year olds have to be lucky and win 3-4 shows to boost my show bonus 1hb whereas my 6-8year old rescue horses only need to place mid range to have the same boost.

Once you have a range of older show horses with points then I would do creates or just keep all my foals from breeding and alter most of them.
