Out of 111 foals so far... 59 are colts. Im sooo tired of colts.

Ive got roughly 20 fillies to about 10 colts because I only got 30 Foals so far

my bootstrapping project was great as far as proportions go. quarter intact fillies, quarter intact colts, quarter spayed mares, quarter geldings.
As far as my even lines go, I feel like 85% of my foals have been turned into spayed mares just through breeding advice... I wish I had the colt fairy right now. lol

How are you getting anything through testing if you are bootstrapping?

Wildland has been boot strapping for a few, and didn't start with all foundies, but with blue 3rd and 4th gens. Basically their boot strapping lines are pretty mature as boot strapping lines go.

Started breeding all my even mares (foundation mares through fifth gen blue, most gold fillies coming from my third gen blue mares as I have few higher mares, but I got gold fillies all the way to foundation mares) to my 8th gen star 5 months ago. I kept gold fillies and special blues. Now I have been breeding those next gen of gold fillies back to the 8th gen and running the foals through breeding advice, culling lower quality mares as I go. Honestly I expected a handful of intacts like previous months to keep a smaller but higher quality herd, getting 18 passing fillies out of 57 foals blew me away.

And an uneven AGA son of his that is scoring higher on leaderboards, so I assume is actually better.

I just wish I would get anything intact! I've bred about 40 pasture horses and only gotten about 5 intact. :-((

Sounds like you need to evaluate your breeding matches Painted Dreams. Getting altered horses doesn't mean you have bad horses, but it does mean your horses aren't matched well. Your stud might be "too good" for your mares. It can happen pretty quickly if you use strict culling practices, like only keeping superior sires. Maybe try a "lesser" stud to put with your mares.

I did better this season than last not getting visited by the colt fairy.
Out of 30 Bootstrapping foals bred last year, I got 23 colts and 7 fillies.
This year out of 95 Bootstrapping foals, 58 are fillies and the rest colts.

I didn't keep tract of how many colts I got but I feel like it was more than last season.But I only had one foal spayed by BA with about 45 total.
