Welcome to the game! Read the faq. Search through the forum. That should get you started. Its a learning curve in the beginning but once you get the hang of things it's a lot of fun!
-
Hi! I'm in art school right now, majoring in Illustration and minoring in Ceramics. :D
What are you having trouble with? :) -
Hello and welcome fellow simmer to HJ2 :)

As MoonAcre Stables has said, the FAQ, which you will find linked near the bottom of the left menu, is the best place to start. It gives a good basic overview of the game. This is a very complex game, however, so please ask any specific questions you may have. We're a friendly group and like giving new players a helping hand.
We don't compete with each other in this game. Each of us sets personal goals once we've become familiar with the basic working of the game. Then we work to reach those goals. Sometimes we change them along the way. Our opponent is the life-like variability built into every aspect of the game. There is usually a range of results possible for every action. I frequently think (and say) that about the only absolutely predictable thing in the game is that if you breed a plain chestnut stallion to a plain chestnut mare, you WILL get a plain chestnut foal. :D
The inheritance of color and pattern genes follows the scientific understanding of how genetics works. Ammit, the game's creator, keeps the game color genetics fairly well up to date with current scientific understandings about it. In the time I've been playing (started in early 2011), she has updated colors and patterns several times.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

Hi Lirrie,
I'm new and confused too, so you don't have to be confused or new alone. X3 I am in college so I probably won't be here very often, but I love animal genetics and pet sim games. -
I guess I'm joining this club too. New and Confused.
