Longtime Goals
-
I've decided to start this thread to see what everyone would like to do in the game. I'll go first :)
I eventually want to buy (at least) three 1,000 stall barns: one for warmbloods, one for drafts, and one for riding horses. I'm starting a few GMT projects soon and eventually (once they're finished) I would like for them to have their own 90 or so stall barns as well. Also, I'm trying to build up a show herd (and eventually buy a few 1,000 stall barns for them also.) Obviously, this is going to be very gradual!
What are all of your goals?Always looking for Hidden Gates horses, sooty+ livers, snowflakes, Freaky Fridays, or satins!Thanked by 1supersarah -
My goal is to breed a liver/brown herd of RH that show well and the foals are so good that only one in a 1000 would be spayed or gelded. I would also like get a 1000 stall barn some day too and I would also love to have a horse on the leader board, that would be awesome! :)

I’m enjoying watching my show bonus grow, and am quickly filling up my old excess barns...come on little show herd!
Right now I’m pretty happy with the quality I’m getting in my gen 2 Herd. My gen 3s, however, are currently way behind the stock I was breeding my first time around so I’m eagerly awaiting that “quantum leap” that suddenly happens after a few seasons of concerted breeding. I suspect my foundation herds will be a little neglected for a couple months while I really focus on the gen 2s to get some high quality gen 3s built up.
Long term goals include some really flashy super high PT fantasy gene show ponies, with emphasis on Hom Nexus watercolor and Hom Nexus Plaid for the super cool colors. That’s my bootstrapping herd, so I’m hoping that with some new high quality stallions I’ve acquired this season that I will start to see a real jump in my paper and PT scores! -
Barn space! I need to stash some IVs and get some bigger barns so I can keep the show ponies all together, and have larger dedicated barns for my "special" lines (Axiom, Ice, Axiom/ice 2, and my 17+hh line)!Fine appaloosa riding horses, Axiom blue and green, ice 1, ice 2, and ice 8

My primary goal right now is to make enough money to buy enough barns for each year's breeding crop (I want to be able to keep all my foals to continue growing my show herd that way).
Longer term goals include getting a show bonus that's high enough for me not to have to worry about money for breeding and buying new barns.
After that my focus will be on continuing to grow my lines - I'm really excited to get past gen 3 since that's about as far as I've gotten, and only with a handful of mares ready right now. Eventually I have some GMT projects in mind that I'd like to do to start new lines as well! -
Get so good at this game that it wins me a real pony!
I mean
Oh, within the game. Fine...
I guess I have more of an ongoing goal right now--keep it within reason. :P Don't let it get out of hand. I just went through an marked all the best looking mares, and I still came out with very nearly full pastures. :D and yet I think I excluded a third? but then I left a bunch in there because why not, I can still use them. I have hoarding issues. :P So hey, maybe this game will help me with real life after all. :D -
Mostly to just have fun with the lines I have.
Im hoping to add watercolor if it comes out again.
I have some plans that are quite a few seasons in the works with mixing certain genes.
Quality is always a goal for me.
And most importantly get to a season where Im not breeding hundreds of foals in the last hours of the last day of breeding :))
-
Right?! What were we thinking?
-
Besides trying not buy too many pixel ponies, hahaha. :)
My goals include having a quality line of w8 liver chestnuts and a quality line of Wild Sty Macchiatos.ID #21047Thanked by 1ConvivialityFarm -
14.0
And when I get there, onward to 15.0
I would also like to help get some other folks on the Era 0 leaderboards this year. -
My goal is to eventually get my show bonus high enough that I can keep most of my spelded show foals instead just the top half pt wise. I hope to break the 13. PT soon and keep my bootstrapping line going higher. I hope to get a quality GP line going, seems like I am getting one or the other. Hope to have my time managed well enough to get a competition going to help other players.Thanked by 1ConvivialityFarm

ooo I forgot about that one dark star! I havent gotten to 13.0 yet lol but thats definitely a goal!
500 foals later and an hour ahead of cut off time :))
Woo I'm ready for bed. Its gonna take me a while to go through those babies but thats okay lolThanked by 1ConvivialityFarm -
My nearterm - within the next month is to buy a 1000 stall barn for more show ponies.
In terms of line quality, a got 1 Gen 3 Star Stallion from my expro lines, of course, I now want a collection of stars and golds at gen three, and I would like to be exclusively Star and Gold at Gen 4 (not there yet).
To date I have not paid a lot of attention to colour or size, just attempting to nail quality. I would like to start bringing in some more colour without loosing quality. I have a thing for w8 so I may have to create a GMT project to bring it into my lines. I currently have it in my bootstrap lines.
Then the elusive PT of 13. I think I am cursed. I hope to get there one day.Thanked by 1ConvivialityFarm -
It took me 2 years to go from foundations to over 13, that was in July 2015. I took a year long break shortly after that, and came back in Aug 2016. Most of my breeding stock was gone and I struggled for a bit with mare lag and studs who were too good for the few mares I had left. It's been a year and a half slogging through the 13's. Though I have really only made decent progress in the last 6 months or so. The higher you go the harder it gets.Thanked by 1ConvivialityFarm

Yeah, I’m adding the elusive 13 to my specific goals. Dark Star, you might be interested to know that the closest Ive ever gotten was a 12.7 gen 9 gelding named Capitalist, descended from the gorgeous Ice Star Mission.
Ice Star Mission 7G
Mission was bred by you and Is mostly DS and Kintara stock in his pedigree. Beadingterri had him and I think she put up a straw from him as a prize in a forum competition. -
I only just started REALLY playing Jan 4th (I have other accounts, but they went nowhere and I've long since forgotten the passwords)
I would love to eventually build up my herds so all of the horses I own are 9.90 or above performance testing wise, all while working on my other color goals as well XDThanked by 1ConvivialityFarm -
I hit the top with my horses and sat there awhile, had a bit of time out of the game and came back in to mostly concentrate on new lines with lower generations. So I have a lot of old stock aging out that I haven't done anything with! So my goals I suppose are to try and have a clean out, revamp my higher PT horses and get them back up there as well as get my younger generations heading in a better direction and quality as it's been a bit haphazard of late!

I joined in Oct of 2013. My goal was always to show everything I bred or created. I wanted to get my 'Show Bonus' to where my stable can mostly stand on its own.
I concentrated with my GP lines after my first year. I have achieved that, and now am working on KP, Brown, Buckskin and Liver lines. I am now gelding my older stallions with lower PT's or papering that I never bred. Just working to get higher PT'ed, (over 13PT) show horses, and hopefully earn more 'Show Bonus'.
I just got my first 13 PT this year from a line that is my horses from 3rd gen, but he goes back to DS Stock, (Dark Star) Dark Sun Rising, Invested, and more than a few other stallions and mares from DS, on the top of the stallion's side of his pedigree. And on the very bottom side of the mares pedigree, Blizzard Warning and Hummingbird from a couple of other stables that are no longer with us. I was very excited to get my first 13PT from a line that is from my own horses. I also got 3 more 13 and up PT's for SS gifts from Prancer, that were completely from DS horses. Thanks DS and Prancer!
