Build Your Show String
-
I've picked out one of my 6th gen stallions, Gilded Cage, for open breeding this season at 1 hb. That means there are no rules... you can feel free to breed him to any mare, foundation or otherwise, to build your show string or get some Sooty+ or pearl into your lines. There's KP in there too, if you're looking for that and have upper gen mares to breed. Be aware that if you do breed him to first or second, probably even third, generation mares, your offspring are likely to be snipped by GA/MA/SAT, but they should have very good PTs compared to foundation to foundation breedings. Happy 32nd breeding season :)
Please limit yourself to 5 breedings till other players have a chance to breed too.

Thanks, Abbey! I definitely don't have any upper generations, but I'll probably find some show ponies eventually. :)

Umm so I bred a foundie mare to him and the filly passed testing. Should I spay her anyway? :P

I would, but I'm not requiring it.

Okay, I'll do that. :)

The filly testing compares a filly to her mother, so it doesn't surprise me that the fillies are passing testing if they are out of foundation mares. Because it is likely that they are better showers and breeders than their mothers.
Geldings will probably be more likely to get snipped than fillies if you breed unevenly and the stallion is higher generation and better quality than the mare.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES
