My dream horse is Painted Rugged Lark. I have always dreamed of owning a son or daughter of his. I love his markings. I love paints in general. I should since I own 3. I love 50% white to 50% color like my Caddo.

My dream ride would be to ride in Bright Canyon.

My dream horse is a Breton. I love drafts and Bretons are just beautiful. I would own a whole barn full. I don't ride horses, always a problem of time and/or money and now weight. I really love the flaxen chestnut look on them. I could just see myself carting around the European countryside, pulled by a pair of strong horses. Also when I see pictures of them I can't help think they look a little like cows, and that makes me hungry for beef.

My dream horse is a flashy bay warmblood. Big white blaze with four white stockings. Competing in a Grand Prix, flying over the jumps with ease.

I’m a huge fan of the off the track thoroughbred. Blood bay is probably my favorite TB color, though I’m also a sucker for dark buckskins. My Dream Ride would be to ride around Badminton. Not compete, just hack around the cross country course and goggle at all of those ridiculous jumps!

My dream horse would have to be a tall, dapple bay or chestnut warmblood. Probably with hind socks and a blaze. My dream ride would be a flawless round at either Washington International or Pennsylvania National Horse Show!

My Dream Horse is a Buckskin Frame Overo TWH. My dream ride is to trail ride with friends in the woods. Its been a long time since I've been on a horse. :)

My dream horse is a chestnut morgan and my dream ride would be on the trails behind my house. My current horse USA chestnut morgan and I have yet to ride her on our trails but I will this summer!

My dream horse is my chestnut Peruvian Paso mare who I love doing liberty work with! My dream ride would be along a mountain trail, over looking a crystal lake!
I'd ride bareback and with just a neck rope in case I need to really redirect her. But for the most part I'd let her choose the route as I trust her and I'd only redirect her when needed

My dream horse would be my old Quarter horse. Her name was Angel. I had to send her to a trainer because she had been abused by her previous owner. My trainer was convinced she was slow at learning from the many times she had been hit in the head with a hammer. But that little Chestnut mare turned out to be the most wonderful horse. A 5 yr. old could ride her. My dream would be to have her back and just ride quietly through the woods.

My dream horse is my own gelding. Like every other horse kid I dreamed of impossible horses, but then I met my gelding. He knew and has always known what I needed. From day 1, we had a unique understanding. I was a nervous rider having changed horses so often than I wasn't sure of much and he was an abused pony who threw everyone who got on his back. He was nervous but never threw me. The barn owner was so happy we got along. We always were paired up and soon developed an extremely close bond. This got to the point that if I didn't drop by to see him every other day he would throw a hissy fit. I'd get calls telling me he wouldn't come in or refused to let himself be blanketed. When I left for college, he became depressed. He quit eating (he loves to eat), went back to throwing any potential riders and even turned to biting when forced to be handled. When I came home everything changed, he screamed for me the second he saw my car pull up (he doesn't talk much) the barn owner told me that he needed to be my horse, I brought him back to college with me and you have never seen a happier horse anywhere.

I bought him from the barn owner and he is my perfect match. We enjoy active trail rides that include water to play in, small jumps, and a good run at the end. I've seen him do things I'd never believe if I hadn't witnessed it. He is as bombproof as a police horse (without any training to be so) and have even seen him do a flying lead change when I lost my balance just to keep me from falling. It bothers him if I fall, he comes over and licks/nuzzles me to make sure I'm okay. He has a home with me and will never change hands again if I can help it.

My dream horse is a blue roan paint horse stallion named 'Ghost', My dream ride would cantering bareback with no bridle on a beach, just far enough so that the water would go up near his knees, to guide him I would use his long mane.

@Cheers, I have to agree with the ex racehorses!!

I have five of them, one of which I bought while he was still winning races regularly, so I could retire him and retrain him for eventing haha!! I think I nagged his trainer, a friend of mine, to sell him to me for about 3 months straight! I couldn't go past his liver chestnut coat, 17.3hh, big white star, plus his natural, cadenced movement :x He has already been so incredibly successful within a year of retiring, which included a six month spell post race.
I absolutely love their versatility, trainability and the fact that they've been so exposed to the 'scary' things at the races - eg, bunting, loudspeakers, lots (and lots!) of people, and the long float/truck distances. It sure makes it a lot easier to introduce them to the new aspects of eventing, in particular cross country schooling when they're not worried about the distractions that my young Warmblood might be!

My dream ride would most definitely be to ride in the International M3DE again, a prestigious event in Australia. My goal is to ride the chestnut I described earlier, I think in the next few years he should be ready to qualify; well, that is the plan!

Wow Aztec! Good luck! If you make it, let me know and I will totally come down and be your cheer squad/dogsbody! If you campaign him anywhere remotely close to Brisbane I would love to come meet him and cheer you on there too.

My all time favorite is Go Rest High On That Mountain by Vince Gill. That was my moms favorite and we played it at her funeral in 2003. To this day 14 years later when I hear it I sing to it and I always cry. My mom adopted me at 9 years old and she was always my inspiration.

It's kind of sad, but I love "Battesimo del Fuoco" by The Dear Hunter. (Despite its name, it is entirely sung in English.) It's the introduction of a massive rock-opera-esque musical work comprised of five albums that tell the story of a boy born in the late 1800s through his time at war, pretending to be someone he's not, his election as a mayor, struggles with the local villain (the "smiling swine"), and his ultimate demise which he sees as victory.

@Cheers, I definitely will!! I think it may be a few years off haha, considering he still thinks the white portable dressage arenas used for competitions are something he MUST try and jump over! The only thing harder than sit trot, is trying to convince the beast not to jump out and eliminate us whilst trying to sit trot =))

I would have to go with shape shifting. I think it would be interesting to be able to change into other animals to see the world from their perspective. Plus I am curious as to what my dogs and horses think of me. ;)

If you could have just one discipline if you were a horse what would it be and why?

For example:
I would love to be a sporting pony because then I could stretch my powerful pony legs out and gallop ( if my owner lets me)

I can't choose between Dressage because then I could be taught basics and learn special manoeuvres, Jumping/cross country because I love cantering round a course,Hacking because then I could strut my stuff. By the way I would definitely be a paint horse ;) ;) ;)

Hmm, I think if I were a horse I would love to be a pony horse for the racehorses! You gets to stand and watch all the commotion, lead the racers to the gates and help keep them calm, plus pets! My QH will be a pony horse this summer :)

I would want to be somebody's trail horse and go places with them. I would get to go on long, slow rides with my owner through the mountains, forests, beaches, etc.

Not entering for the contest as I have already won once but I thought I would share. I would love to me a Grand Prix jumper. Big, beautiful, fancy warmblood. Traveling all over the world to race the clock and soar in the air!

I think it would be cool to do dressage or the grand prixs! In my opinion it would be amazing to fly over huge jump in the GPs and to "dance" in dressage competitions!

I would go to Scotland with my horse, I saw a thing where you and your horse go on a week long trail ride with a guide and just camp out! It sounds so fun plus I've always wanted to see Scotland!

I'd love to go to New Zealand and take a tour of the areas that they filmed LOTRs in. A horseback tour there would be amazing :)
