I would imagine that the horses you had already bred while you had the Basic upgrade would retain your breed name, but any horses that you create or breed if you lose it would not have it. However, it would probably remain in game memory, so if you could upgrade at a future date, horses bred after that date would have the breed name.

If someone purchases one of your horses with your breed name, any horses they breed using it will get their own breed name, not yours.

Every one who has chosen a breed name for their account has to have something that was never used before. I base my breed names here and in my HaJ1 account on Norwegian and German for Sandy Creek. Sandbuktian here and Bachsandigan in HaJ1.

You could use something like Bausonian, which is based on an archaic word for badger. *G* I found that here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Badger

Thanks for the info SandyCreek! I'm hoping it's like you say, I would hate for my membership to lapse and all my previous horses loose their name, lol

And thanks for the suggestion! I tried "Barsuk" (russian for Badger and one of my go-tos!) but it's not accepting it. Do you know if there's a way to search for breed names that are in-use?

Don't use any symbols; no commas, apostrophes, dashes, accents, etc. You also can't have 2 words, so no spaces.

I’m assuming you are capitalizing the first letter when you put it in. Not sure why Barsuk etc isn’t working. Sugarjack may not work since those are both common English words.

Sounds like one of you needs to post a bug report.

I'm having the same problem! Trying to use "Genevistic" which isn't a real word as far as I'm aware. :)

Speaking of bug reports, where do you go to file one? I wonder if there's any sort of place we can search bugs or add a "me too" comment.
