    I know if both parents are hom snowflake the offspring will have the gene, but if one is hom and one is het, will the offspring automatically be het? Or is there a chance it will be hom?

    I think there is a chance that the foal will be hom!

    so we're talking about Aa x AA here, which means you'll have a combination of: AA, Aa, AA, Aa. There is a 50% chance the foal will be homozygous for the gene, and 50% chance the foal will only be het.
