Frame Breeding

If a stallion has FF and the mare has frame but it’s ff, will that result in a lethal foal?Home of the Valley Warmbloods.

The FFs aren't frame. They are Flaxen. Frame is O lw or OlwOlw (in the case of Freaky Friday horses). Flaxen needs ff to show and FF means it will not show.

The F in the gene results is not frame, it is flaxen. Flaxen is recessive so ff gives a red based horse a flaxen mane and tail.
Frame is Olw (for overo lethal white). OO is non-frame and safe to breed to frame horses. OOlw (or OlwO) is heterozygous frame and has a 25% chance of producing a lethal homozygous frame foal when bred to another frame horse. The only homozygous frmae horses are the RS Freaky Friday and possibly some that have been GMTed for it. If you breed one of these homozygous frame horses to a het frame horse, you have a 50% chance of a dead foal.

Oh heavens, don't feel dumb! I think it took 3-4 years before I even STARTED to understand it and I STILL don't get the appaloosa ones!
